My mom just told me that her pastors are coming in the morning to pray for my conversion, these fucking pastors don’t know when to back off, they coming at the same time my church friends are coming to pick me up so I hope my church friends come first so that I don’t have to deal with their bullshit, for a while I went to my moms church then I realized I can’t be going to 2 different churches at the same time so I stopped going and now these pastors are coming over to try to force their denomination onto me, I’ve been clear to them I don’t want to convert leave me the fuck alone.

I’m a Orthodox Christian, I’ve always kinda wanted to like practice witchcraft even since when I was a Pentecostal but the thing that’s stopping me is that there are some verses in the bible that prohibit it and even church fathers spoke out against it, my question is how do you Christian’s practice it with the church and scripture condemning it, I’m mexican so in my culture there’s a lot of witchcraft and magic and I find it fascinating and love learning about it.

On Friday I accompanied my mother to her church’s vigil and before the 2nd church service started me and the pastor and other brothers from the church were talking and I made it clear to them I reject pentecostal doctrine, reject their interpretation of scripture, etc and when the 2nd service started the pastor called me up to the altar I just thought if they’re going to do a regular old prayer then that’s fine by me, the pastor ask if I want to be saved and I was like yes, and then he said do you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and I felt like I was trapped, like I didn’t have a choice, I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, I knew if I had said no he would have started saying why am I rejecting Christ, accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior at the altar is kind of like converting to the pentecostal church, they started praying for me in tongues hands on me, when that was happening I truly regretted coming here, then after that everyone thought I had converted when no, the pastor definitely knew what he was doing with how he worded it, he thought if he did that prayer on me I would convert.

My moms pentecostal pastors are telling my mom that she needs to burn my icons, statues, candles, saint medals, I don’t really what to do, my mom says that she isn’t going to do it and that she can’t force her religion onto me but I feel like there’s gonna come a day where she’s going to be convinced by her pastors to actually do it, what do I do, do I hide them, give them away or what?

I sometimes wonder like do the prophets know they’re lying to the people or do they really think they’re really doing miracles, I witnessed a prophet do that one miracle he will make one leg or arm shorter than the other one grow the same length, I remember years ago seeing a video on YouTube expose this trick and showed how easy it is to do, do they know it’s all fake or do they just have religious psychosis?

Ngl even tho I became orthodox christian I still go to my moms pentecostal church just to accompany her but the pastor be throwing shade at me while preaching, he was trying to use hell to try and scare me into becoming pentecostal, what is it with pentecostal pastors trying to convert people with threatening them that they’re going to burn in hell, like I’m not falling for your fear tactic lil bro

I just found out that pentecostalism is just a revival of a ancient heresy that was condemned in the early church, I find it kinda funny how sometimes I will accompany my mom to church and her pastor will try to argue and debate with me that the early church was pentecostal but historical evidence shows that they were condemned as heretics

I lowkey remember when I was a kid and was at a church service, I remember seeing 2 people fighting at the front of the altar, they were shaking violently like how pentecostals usually do but somehow they started fist fighting each other, it was awesome but they had to split them up and they said that happened because of the Holy Spirit, I think they probably had some beef or it was a demonic possession idk, I swear I ain’t making this up😭

Does the western rite accept all Marian apparitions? There’s a western rite Orthodox Church in Florida that’s named after Our Lady of Regla, I’ve heard that they pray the rosary, how do they pray it?
