In 1967, Brian Wilson set about writing one final song in the hopes of saving the Smile album. Many say that had he maintained momentum for this record, it would have gone down as not only his own magnum opus, but as the greatest song of all time. It was one of the few examples of a complete Brian composition. No recordings remain, but fortunately we do have a copy of the original lyrics. I present them below.
