Hi all— hoping you can answer this question for me. Just out of curiosity.. we recently bought house- built in the late 50s.

Inquiring to know if this is asbestos or cedar shake? Home disclosures advise cedar, however, when I went to re-review our inspection report for some minor things were getting brought up to code/worked on, apparently they’re suggesting they’re asbestos cement.. I really think it is cedar. The previous owner screwed in some solar powered lights into the siding.. they did just repaint a few years ago. Thanks in advance! Hi all, we are first time home buyers with a strict budget and have been searching for what feels like ages lol. — I know this has been posted before, I went looking before I made this one— latest one was from a year ago and I know a lot can change between now and then.

How would you consider this area of town? All houses within our budget have been snatched off the market so fast, it’s hard to keep up— we’ve decided to extend out to different parts of St Paul.

I have kids and their safety is my top priority. How’s the school district? Any idea on crime in the area being so close to the south side of the train tracks?
