Any cozy places to read/chill?

I'm just curious if there are any places I could chill at and read that are outside of my house cause I don't want to be there all day. I've been to sweet eugene's and it seems like a good place but I'm wondering if there are any others.

Should I buy books from Barnes and Noble or from a small book store?

Howdy! I'm facing a conundrum that I don't know the answer to so I'm asking the internet. They have the same prices for the books that I'm looking for. Yes the bookstore is smaller and therefore has a smaller collection of books, but I can always ask them to order one. And I can do the same at B&N if needed. So, it's the same price, it's the same collection of books, I just don't know which one I should support.

I just moved here, are there any nerdy spaces?

As the title says, I just moved here. I'm an 18 year old guy who only has one class for the summer so I essentially have unlimited free time. I'm looking for spaces or groups that I can play D&D with, or Warhammer 40k, or play board games. Even a book club would be nice. Just anything nerdy.
Thank you for your time.

What do normal people do every day to pass the time?

I'm just moved in to my first apartment and my college classes haven't started yet. I've asked people this before and they just say, "pursue your hobbies," but my main hobby is gaming and it is looked down upon if you do that all day. I read for an hour and a half every day and I also go on two 30 minute walks (one in the morning, one in the evening) but I still have so much time, I also plan to start exercising in the evenings. So what do people do? Am I making sense?
