I’m sure many folks here have seen lists that cite public figures that fly commercial -- including her peers perceived enemies in the music industry, actual politicians and public servants who have much more prominent targets on her back than the unremarkable pop idol with the most robust security detail money could buy. So the idea that she's uniquely vulnerable to stalking, violence, attack attempts, or anything else that would be acceptable rationale for using a private jet to travel even distances as short as a few miles is bunk on its own.

But okay, let's pretend for a second that that's the case. Let's all join her stans in Fantasy World -- the land where Blandie actually is her fans' best friend, the land where she's a good singer and songwriter, and pretend that a private jet is the ONLY way for her to get around safely.

Guess what? It'd still be unfathomably shitty of her to do so, because she's still turbofucking the planet by doing it.

If you literally can't travel without making the climate that the other eight billion people you share the planet with less habitable to human life, it's not okay for you to travel. It then becomes your responsibility to stay home.

It's not like she actually does anything that's actually of value to her fellow human beings. We're not talking about Taylor Swift, the travel surgeon who does life-saving operations. We're not talking about Taylor Swift, the four-star military general who's defending freedom and liberty in war. We're not talking about Taylor Swift, the public speaker or civil rights activist who leads campaigns in marginalized communities, or even Taylor Swift, an artist whose creative output is actually culturally worthwhile in literally any imaginable way.

We're talking about Taylor Swift, the author of "Shake It Off," "Look What You Made Me Do," "Wildest Dreams," "Style," "You Belong With Me," "Actually Romantic," and best of all, "Wood.”

Literally nothing of value would be lost if she weren't able to tour the planet performing such sublime profundity for her otaku, and she's not even touring right now and over the course of this year alone she's still ruined the climate even more severely than she had during the entirety of her Eras tour.
