After / Before - A trick for coloring clouds

Hey everyone. Here's a before and after shot from Mt Chephren in Alberta. This was a good 30 minutes after sunrise when the color had faded, but I wanted to add a bit back into the clouds. I have a trick where I do a sky selection, then subtract the blues which leaves only the clouds selected. From there I can use a color effect to add a bit of pop to the clouds. I have a video tutorial here: https://youtu.be/fQ-jz3tDlyE

Making it more whimsical

My hunch tells me it's too saturated, but when I turn it down I feel like something is missing. Do I just embrace it or is there another way to deal with that?

Before/after

Shot with iPhone 17PM. Used my sunglasses in the before, hence the green. Edited in Lightroom.

Shot at the peak of Mont Bré, looking towards Mont Rossa.
