Peaches, La Route du Rock, 13/08/26

Shot from the second row. What a crazy show.

Olympus E-M5 Mark III, Olympus 75mm 1.8

It was my first time using this lens for a concert. It worked well, but you can feel the limits of micro four thirds with the noise. I think i'll get DXO PureRaw at some point. Lightroom noise rediction has it's limits.

Anyway, i think this is a great setup to bring in concerts, if allowed. Good range and aperture for the size.

Let me know how you like the pics. It's my first time posting here.

Trying a more extreme look (after/before)

I used this very dark image taken during a Peaches concert. Loved the pose but focus was meh, iso was very high, and i could not find a way to get a usualy satisfiying result out of this image. So i tried something much more extreme for the hell of it, and i kinda like it. I embraced the high iso noise, lifted extremely some shadows and highlights, and even added grain, which i basically never do.

I know this is not "photographically correct", but the goal was to get a more abstract look.

"Belle Dame" Butterfly on 75mm 1.8

Captured with E-M5 mark III, with Olympus 75mm 1.8, cropped from original.

Processed from the Jpeg on Lumix lab.

Goddamn i love this lens. I'd like to test some extension tubes on that to test the macro capabilities.

A walk through Cantabria

Shot with Olympus E-M5 MKIII, mostly with Lumix 14-140mm f3.5-5.6, plus some with the Lumix 20mm and the Lumix 9mm.

It was my first time taking a superzoom on a trip, and it was a blessing to do long focal range landscape photos on the fly. I wanted to use more the tele range, as i rarely used the Olympus 40-150 F4-F5.6 i already have. Getting this superzoom was the way i found to use the long focal ranges more easily.

I feel like mine is not the sharpest lens all around, but i got some shots i would not have taken if not for this lens.

Got myself an old SUN branded lens for Minolta MC mount. 28mm f2.5

Plenty of "defects" in the image, but i'm in love with the colors and the flare. Getting the hang of manual focus is not so bad. I think it's easier with a fully mechanical lens than with an electronic focus ring.

All photos are SOOC, natural profile with saturation boosted +2
