My Mazdas through the years

Thought I would share what i've owned.

1974 RX4 with a injected 6 port from a s4 rx7.

1977 RX3 with a 13B BP with dual 48 ida Webers.

1980 RX7 with a 13B EP.

2003 MX5, bone stock.

1999 MX5 mild cam, full exhaust, ecu, brakes and suspension upgrade.

I still dream about the RX3, should never have gotten rid of it.

Not pictured, 2022 Mazda3 2.5GT. Nice car, but boring in auto.

Aiming for a FD RX7 one day.

First track day coming up, any tips?

My mates and I recently bought a 1999 MX5 with a few mods as a track car (cams, full exhaus, suspensio, ecu, roll bar). I'm a long time enthusiast, but have never been on a track in my 38 years (except for several go kart tracks).

Any tips so that I don't embarrass myself? I've watched a video lap of the track, trying to get an idea of braking points and the proper line. But anything else?

I'm in the beginners class so obviously am just looking to have fun. But anything I should know to make the experience better?

The track is Luddenham.
