Why are youtubers suddenly becoming journalists and host their "own show"?

It feels like (in this case) Youtube has lost the connection with the audience whereas before "anyone" could make their videos and if anybody blew up it was because of chance but there was always some sort of humanity behind it; where communities grew and such. Now it almost feels like we lost the actual "bond" with the owner of the channel, because they feel too far away/ may be not as relatable because so well known and/or almost becoming a celebrity. It feels like we are taking that away from us, because it grew too important, because the scale of social media went so big. On the other hand, even if Youtube may recommend from time to time little creators, they seemingly don't grow as much as one could before.
I'm sad that this is happening as Youtube has always helped me with not fitting in my current environment. Why does this need to become televised? In my country for instance; France, I have seen that videos from Youtubers were now airing on TV on certain channels and even the most well known Youtubers (at first because of gaming content) focused heavily on produced videos which are no longer entertaining because it's the same thing again and again. It seems odd to me. The internet doesn't feel like it was 10 years ago.
Has anyone else noticed those particular things?
Is there anything that can be done?
