Imelda Schweighart posted on her Facebook asking if SB19 is a representation of the LGBTQIA+ community. She said she saw a an SB19 pop-up at SM Megamall, which made her think it could create confusion among children when they ask about it (highlighting that it is back-to-school season and children will see the pop-up).

However, netizens pointed out that there was no such SB19 pop-up and only Watsons’ campaign introducing SB19 as their new ambassadors and has selling activities #MadeForMen. Screenshots and photos of the setup is also uploaded here na.

She is now being questioned online about what exactly she saw that led to her post, and why she believes it would cause confusion for children.

A screenshot of a private message she shared is also circulating, where similar concerns were raised: “I myself am overwhelmed with so much LGBTQ presence across the board and it bothers me how our kids will consume such material with their young minds.” She appeared to use this to support her original post after receiving backlash.

Saw some posts on X about it. Based on one post, it seems Alas may have gotten tired of the constant criticism from fans regarding the group’s direction, which could be why he decided to block them.

Magiliw have different reactions as some support his actions, some are a bit dismayed, while others simply don’t want to get involved.

Artists get tired too. If that’s really the reason behind it, I honestly understand where Alas is coming from.
