This is most likely commander combination with the best synergy in game (Swann P1 + Stetmann P1).

I realize that specific maps and specific mutations have specific commanders who shine on them the most. This combo is not the best every single time, however their synergy level got to be the highest in game.

They have 3 major strengths when paired together:

  1. Swann P1 doesn't have Laser Drill abilities, but it locks on faster and does damage in area. Just this alone is sick combo, because P1 Stetmann's stetlellites can not be removed once they are up and thus provide constant global vision. Drill goes brrr and mission plays itself - literally.

  2. Swann and Stetmann both boost economy very early for both players. Stetmann with blue field which increases mining speed before saturation, while Swann provides extra gas entire game with drones. Both of them are very gas heavy (unless you play more with turrets than units). What should be their lategame becomes their midgame which is amazing because...

3.... Swann "starts slowly, but has one of the best lategame armies" (even though the combat drop can carry very well as well), Stetmann starts very strong with Gary, but also has strong units for lategame.

It's just profit profit profit. You don't even have to fight enemy waves if you don't want to, because drill can handle them xD. Sky terran usually leads to some casaulties when fought straight up due to yamato, liberators, ravens/svessels.

Try it. I wouldn't play it often, because mission literally plays itself, but it's still fun to do once in a while.

Things easy to miss: Tyrannozors give each other armour

Just like in the title.
SC2 is full of interactions which people don't know or assume that do not work and this is one of them:
Tyrannozor gives nearby units 2 armour. They also give armour to each other (but they don't benefit from their own aura) so make sure to always have at least 2 fighting close to each other.

Template for cards or clan card background image? (Keep the Heroes Out)

Hello. I am looking for a template for cards or at least background for clan cards (icons, scrolls ect I kind of already have).

context:

Me and my brother do a lot of custom content and we did A LOT of custom cards and changed even more for Heroes of Might and Magic BG before.
I want to do the same for KTHO (I have idea for 2 new clans, Zombies and Giant Toads) with unique mechanics.

Does anyone have a template? I am asking, because I was piecing together a template in Gimp from scans from cards for HoMM and then it turned out the community had a very good template which looked like the original with no quality loss - so I figured I will ask about this one before wasting a week in Gimp again xD.

I did try to ask AI to make a background image out of the card scans, but no matter what I do AI just loves to change dimensions and scale...
Also I can't really get median filter to work just yet xD.

I even asked Luís Brüeh directly on BGG (he answers all question really fast, go there if you have any questions about rules ect) and he said that he liked my idea, but as a measure to prevent piracy he will not publish original PNG files used to make the cards - which I understand and respect, but if possible I will still try to get them.

Abathur - is it possible to make units NOT start with Ultimate Evolution on autocast?

Edit: I'm not going to revisit this thread anymore, because you showed me why I dislike reddit and interacting with people in general.
I literally asked a yes/no question.
Your answers boil down to "You play him wrong, git gud" or giving mostly useless advices I did not ask for.

Just like in the title.
Once UE have symbiotes they are great, but after reaching lvl 15 and getting that Biotic Leech (which I genuinely think is overpowered and should be changed to do something else or function differently) it is quite often not optimal to have units evolving into UE.
Also you don't really want Vipers and Swarm Hosts to evolve - like EVER.

Solution is simple - just right click it to disable autocast on units you don't want to evolve.

However Abathur is one of few commander you actually want to f2 amove a lot to grab all the Locusts (both from Injection and Swarm Hosts). Doing that you will often grab freshly spawned units before you can disable the autocast - which is problematic, because later on you will have to check them one by one. If you select all and rightclick twice, units which can will actually evolve.

So yeah, is it possible to make this ability not start on autocast??

Use it on Zagara Banelings - you can set unburrow to autocast

Just like in the title.

I noticed that majority of people playing Zagara don't use majority of her kit (Bile Launchers, Using couple of Corruptors to prime high HP targets, Aberrations ect) and there is nothing I can do about it - players just want to f2->amove Banelings and that's it.

Sure, do that, but also burrow some Banelings in strategic locations and right click unburrow button to set it to autocast.
This way you can be amove enjoyer while also having strategic traps - and not pay attention to them AT ALL.

Temporal Median - free ai tool ?

Hi. I am looking to make some custom cards for a game. I want to generate a "clean template" and then add stuff on top of it.
I figured that something like Temporal Median would be the best for it as I own a lot of these cards and can scan all of them.

Does anyone know a good tool to do that? I'm looking for free tool.
It also needs to be able to handle bigger files.

Edit: I already did that in gimp by hand, but it's not perfect and I want to improve quality if possible.
