Sony XAV-9000ES

It works incredibly well, everything. Such a huge improvement over the HK head unit. The highs and lows are much crisper and the max volume is noticeably louder. Apple wireless CarPlay works within seconds of turning on the ignition. I had it professionally installed since I didn’t trust myself connecting all the wires correctly. I got everything from Crutchfield! less

Tint Percentage

I’m getting my windows tinted in a few days but am unsure of the % I should get.

I want the front and rears to match. Would 5% all around be too dark? My tint installer also offers 20%.

Replace HK Head Unit

I just got a new to me 2014 Forester XT. I love the car so far but I’m not impressed with the HK head unit. I’d like to have wireless CarPlay. Does anyone know/recommend a good head unit that will accomplish this? I’m looking to spend roughly $1,000 including install.

Two options I can think of are the Sony XAV-9000ES ($998) and the Sony XAV-AX6000 ($548).
