How True Damage ACTUALLY WORKS
It has been this way for as long as I have played but still a very small portion of people actually know how true damage works in Albion. Feel like I may need to make a video to cover it but for now Ill just write this up.
In albion the only difference between normal damage phys/magical and true damage is that phy/magical has to go through a players resistances true damage does not. It still gets reduced by defense stat. (hence why battlemounts should be wearing a shield to reduce ballista's and behes)
The other more important part is ability damage still affects it as well. For instance if you are running a wildfire that does 12% max hp as true damage and you are wearing cloth that is 50% (not counting damage passive 8% for easier math) now that wildfire E does 18% mx hp as true damage. True damage still has to go through shields like regular damage and it still gets reduced by damage reduction debuffs like guardian armors. The actual only difference is it ignores resistances so piercing targets doesn't matter for its damage. Hope that helps people.
