I'm a teen that's been trying to get back into reading but I'm having trouble finding a good place to start. I started Metro 2033 and while I love the world and adventure, the book felt lacking of meaningfull characters and relationships for me. I got halfway through that before I started feeling kind of burned out and I think I have to switch it up.

Some other media i like: The last of us, Lord of the rings, Breakin bad, Berserk, Neon genesis evangelion.

I love characters with interesting and deep relationships rather than worldbuilding or a deep and confusing plot. I still love deep worlds with tons of lore but i prefer it taking a backseat. I also love plot twists. I'd prefer a shorter length (maybe around 200 pages). It could be any genre but i like fantasy a lot, and also post-apocolyptic settings. Thanks

The last couple of years I've been invested in souls games, metroidvanias and other genres of that kind. I've always ignored story games as i though they weren't my thing. Recently i gave RDR2 another shot after years and enjoyed it a lot. I played both RDR games and now I'm obsessed with TLOU 1&2. I've been looking around for other games but most games seem to not reach the same heights as TLOU in storytelling.

What are some good recommendations? I'm also open for less story focused games. Does not have to be niche games or anything, Just tell me the ones, popular or not, that are worth the money and time. Thanks
