As a child, did you ever question why you eat animals?

As a child under 13, did you ever ask an adult why you eat animals, or did you never question it? For those that did: what was their answer, and what did you think about the answer?

(Just putting 13 because over it you become more aware of how common it is for adults to lie)

This is mine.

I'm a welfarist and reductarian. I want to help make rvegan a good place, where nobody feels uncomfortable or guilty for exploiting and violating animals. Veganism is a personal journey, like spirituality and yoga. I see nothing wrong with wearing the skin of murder victim as shoes and jackets - just buy them secondhand lol!! I pander and fall for any emotional manipulation about scaring fragile non-vegans away. I'm a vegan who eat chicken. (I was told "just be vegan except X")

My 3 favorite quotes are

✨As far as practicable and possible

✨Be vegan except one animal

✨No ethical consumption under capitalism
