I wanted to ask about the GKS University Track specifically for the R&D/graduate program.

If a university already selects you after the document screening/interview process and officially recommends your application to NIIED, then what are the chances of getting the final scholarship?

Does NIIED usually reject many candidates even after university recommendation, or is the selection rate relatively high at that stage?

I know it may depend on quotas, nationality, documents, and competition, but I wanted to hear from people who went through the process or know someone who did.

I was recently selected in the first round for the KAIST GKS 2026 (R&D program) in the Department of Biological Sciences, and I’ll be moving on to the next stage.
