I wish we got more official stories about Urokodaki and his students before Tanjiro came along. It’s honestly pretty sad thinking about the years Giyuu and Sabito trained with Urokodaki before everything went wrong. We mostly just see Giyuu dealing with his trauma and wearing that split haori, but we missed out on seeing them actually training, growing up and getting stronger together.

If we had been shown more of their history, Giyuu's trauma would definitely hit differently. Seeing their daily lives and the strength of their bond would make his loss feel much more personal to the audience. Also I feel like it would probably stop people from arguing that his past 'wasn't as tragic' as other characters. If we actually saw what he lost, no one could downplay how much it hurt Giyuu to lose his parents, then his sister who sacrificed herself to save him, and finally Sabito, his best friend who gave him a reason to keep going.

P.S. Just look at them laughing, my poor babies
