Titration Experiences with Psychiatry UK?

I'm currently on the waiting list for titration with Psychiatry UK (was referred to them through my GP nearly two years ago and had my assessment in October '25). My psychiatrist recommended Elvanse for whenever I start titration. 🤞

I have seen the PsychUK website on their titration process, but wanted to know what it's like from people who have experienced it.

- Is 12 weeks really long enough to find which medication works best for you?

- how can you tell you've found the right medication? My concern would be "wasting time" for side effects to wear off whilst trying a new med or a new dose. The pressure of finding the right medication and optimal dose in a limited time frame makes me feel a bit like Goldilocks meets Hunger Games. 😅

Thanks in advance!

Nearing seven weeks post-op here and have been wondering about satiety/fullness cues.

I've heard it’s pretty common for people to have a runny nose, hiccups, or burping. I’ve had none of these, though I think they’d be really helpful!

For me, I cant really pinpoint how I know I’m satiated or full, except that I just feel like.. “Whelp…I think I'm good, I’m done here.” And if I were to try to eat or drink more, I’d feel a bit nauseous. I’ve not yet been sick or thrown up. 🤞 However, I sometimes worry that I’m eating too much at this stage (for my program, I’m still in Soft/Mashable Foods and chew everything to a puréed consistency) and that maybe I’m missing some kind of obvious cue - I’d appreciate a runny nose that’s not seasonal allergy related, haha! At this stage, my program doesn’t give an exact amount of foods to be consumed, but the containers shown to me by the bariatric nurse looked to hold about 1/4-1/2 cup; I tend to manage about 3-4oz each meal (2 or 3oz protein + 2 or 1oz of veg). Some days a bit less, but overall, I’m fairly consistent with portions.

Sorry for the ramble.

All of this is to ask: can satiety/fullness cues change over time? What are your most telltale signs that you’re done?

Thanks in advance!
