Problem with the strings
I recently bought a Jackson Mignonne electric guitar, which was probably a display model because the strings were extremely worn out, and it was impossible to tune it properly or play it normally. The problem was that the strings were practically lying against the upper frets, and I could only really play notes starting around the fourth or fifth fret and above.
Because of this, I ordered a new set of strings and installed them. Things are better now and it’s playable, but the strings are still sitting very close against the upper frets up to around the third fret, and because of that the guitar has a terrible buzzing/crackling sound when I try to play on the lower frets.
What should I do in this situation? What could be causing the problem? Thank you. (Sorry if the pics are bad)
