I’ve updated my online game transitle.nl, where you have to guess how long it takes to travel by public transport, at the suggestion of u/jwdekk!

Transitle now has a multiplayer mode where you can play simultaneously with friends and show who the real public transport boss is ;)

Ik heb mijn online spelletje transitle.nl, waar je moet raden hoe lang het duurt om met het OV te gaan, ge-update op suggestie van u/jwdekk! Transitle heeft nu een multiplayer modus waar je tegelijk met vrienden kunt spelen en kunt laten zien wie de echte OV-baas is ;)

Apartment hunting meant sending my SSN, tax returns, and bank statements to strangers, often all in one PDF. Redacting them myself with a black box or highlighter tool felt scary. Cloud tools wanted me to upload my tax return to fix that. However, I didn't trust them, and the one that look trustworthy would charge a lot of money.

So I built VeriRedact. Load it, optionally download the local AI model, then turn your wifi off, it will still work fully. It detects PII (SSNs, cards, IBANs, names via local AI), and after redacting, re-opens the file and verifies nothing recoverable is left before letting you download it.

The site also has an "Edit" functionality. This was extremely useful for me as well, as there were a lot of times I wanted to bundle images and PDF documents into one PDF, where I wanted add explanations as well. This mode has a light-weight text editor as well, that I used to describe what documents I added with additional info.

Ik hoop dat jullie het de afgelopen dagen koel hebben weten te houden... weet je wat er (gelukkig) wel altijd cool blijft? Onze treinen!

Ik geniet enorm van het openbaar vervoer en vind het eerlijk gezegd een van de beste dingen van Nederland. Hoewel we graag klagen over NS, hebben we een van de meest punctuele systemen van Europa, zo niet van de wereld.

Dit bracht me ertoe een klein spelletje te maken, geïnspireerd door GeoGuessr, waarin je de reistijd van de ene stad/drop naar de andere met het OV moet raden. Het is helemaal gratis, dus ik hoop dat jullie het eens proberen!

Er komen elke dag nieuwe vragen, of je kunt blijven oefenen voor de echte fanatiekelingen onder jullie. Ik hoor graag jullie feedback, of jullie het leuk vinden of wat er verbeterd kan worden (of dat het gewoon niets voor jullie is).

Ik hoop dat dit spel een beetje plezier brengt in jullie dagelijkse pendel!

Hope you've managed to keep it somewhat cool these past few days... You know what else is (thankfully) cooled? Our trains!

I very much enjoy taking our public transit system, and truthfully think its one of the best things of living in the Netherlands. Though we love to complain about NS, we have one of the most punctual systems in Europe, if not the world.

This prompted me to create a little GeoGuessr inspired game, where you guess the time it takes to go from one city/town using Dutch public transit. It's completely free, so I hope you will give it a try! There will be new questions every day or you can keep practicing for the real fanatics out there.

I would love to hear any feedback you might have, it'd be great to hear if you enjoy it or what could be improved (or if it's simply not for you!). I hope this game brings a little joy to your daily commute!
