Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a new 3 BHK apartment in Sainikpuri, Hyderabad. It’s about 2,300 sq. ft., and my property tax has been assessed at ₹8,500. On top of that, I ended up paying around ₹18,000 in combined "agent fees" and "other costs" (bribes) to get the assessment and documentation moving.

In my old 2 BHK apartment, I only used to pay around ₹2,500. I’m trying to understand if ₹8,500 is normal for this size and locality.

• How much are you all paying for similar-sized flats in Hyderabad?
• Is this rate standard for Sainikpuri, or should I be looking into how this was calculated?
• Also, is that ₹18k "facilitation fee" common for new assessments?
