Why aren’t more SaaS companies using content to get their product in front of more people?

I’m curious to hear from SaaS founders, marketers, and people working in the space.
It seems like a lot of SaaS companies, especially B2C, know they should be creating content, but consistently showing up on social often falls pretty low on the priority list.
But I want to understand what’s actually stopping you from investing more heavily in organic content?
Is it:
- Not knowing what to post?
- Not having the time to create it?
- Not knowing which platforms are worth investing in?
- Uncertainty around whether content will actually generate customers?
- Having tried it before and not seeing results?
- Something else entirely?

I’m building a content strategy agency focused on SaaS companies, so I’m particularly interested in understanding how founders actually think about this problem. Any insights you share are much appreciated!
