I went to a lot of trouble to switch servers to play with friends only to find out I could not switch faction because half a year earlier I had already used up the one change option. I disagree with that hard limit also but if I switch servers I should at the least be given the option to change allegiance or even have my faction history and allegiances reset if I wish it.

If not then give us some earnable faction token thing we can buy or whatever to switch. I am now stuck on a server unable to play with my friends or talk in their guild chat. With pvp in this game virtually dead now what is this hard restriction on factions?

Please give us the option to change faction when moving to another server. Better yet also give us the option to clear both factions if we want so we have some wiggle room on a new server where we might want the option to defect again if things don't work out. The faction locks are way too restrictive altogether. PLEASE do this. If Funcom is reading this PLEASE let me switch to the other faction! I'm level 195 and don't really want to play everything all over again.

I recently moved to another server to be with friends of another faction only to find out that I'd already some time many months ago already defected and I am locked. I also had to delete an existing player to move to that server so this was doubly terrible. I do not agree with the faction locks really at all but it should definitely be available with a server transfer.
