Im a Business analyst with 6+ years of experience in IT. Im planning my next career move into cloud technologies.
I already have basic exposure to both AWS and Azure but at this stage i want to focus deeply on one cloud platform instead of learning both in parallel. My goal is to build a strong foundation, gain hands-on skills and eventually secure a cloud-focused role in the Indian market.
Most YouTube creators and online learning content seem heavily focused on AWS but im little inclined towards Azure. However, Im looking for advice from professionals who are actually working in cloud roles or involved in hiring.
A few things i want to understand:
Which cloud platform currently has better career opportunities in India: AWS or Azure?
Which one has stronger long-term demand in enterprises?
Does Azure have an advantage because many Indian companies use the Microsoft ecosystem?
From a learning and job transition perspective, which platform would be more practical for someone coming from a Business Analyst background?
My current plan is to focus on one platform for the next 12-18 months, build projects/certifications around it and then expand later if needed.
Would appreciate honest opinions based on real industry experience.
