I keep seeing stories about authenticators no longer being able to tell reps from auth anymore, which is honestly insane to me! Has anyone ever had a rep pass as auth with a professional? I’d imagine it’s a rare occurrence, but I’m curious has anyone actually ever found a true 1:1?

I didn’t see all the 187 vs God discourse until after I purchased the CF from God factory. I’ve seen a lot of people say that medium caviar classic flaps are better from 187, but this one from GF honestly looks really good to me. However, my eye isn’t as trained as some of the more experienced buyers in this space, so I’d love to hear what you all think!
Also, if it doesn’t feel as soft once it arrives, do you think it’s worth investing in a quality leather softener?
