I just had the luck to handle the auth in person and annoy my SA for details. SoI wanted to put together a post for anyone considering this bag.

TL;DR: This is a very, very difficult bag to rep accurately. Current PSPs I’ve seen are not close, and if accuracy matters to you, I’d strongly recommend sitting this one out for now.

1. Material / construction
The bag is not fur and it is not shearling.
It is goat/calf hair-on leather. “Pony hair” does not mean actual horse hair. In fashion, pony hair generally refers to cow or goat leather with the hair left on.
The interior is lambskin, but the outer hair material feels much more like goat hair because it is quite scratchy.

QC point:
If your seller describes this as fur or shearling, that is already a major red flag and an obvious callout.

2. Texture / hair direction
This is the biggest issue I’ve seen so far.
On the authentic bag, the hairs are straight, defined, and aligned. They do not have fluffy ends. The fibers are not plush, fuzzy, or cloud-like.

Every PSP I’ve seen so far has the same issue: the fibers look too short, too splayed out, and too fluffy at the ends. The auth should have lightly tapered, straight, clearly separated hairs.

QC point:
If the texture looks fluffy, soft, fuzzy, or “cute and plush,” it is wrong for this bag.
I have not yet seen an accurate PSP.

3. Feel / handfeel
The authentic bag is not soft.
It is honestly super scratchy. When I handled it, it even left a very fine scratch on my arm. The hair has a rough, dry, almost bristly feel.

The gold hardware also scratches very easily, and the gold is yellower in person than it looks in many online photos. It leans slightly shiny-cheese gold.

QC point:
If your bag is being praised as “ultra soft,” that is not a good thing for this specific style. That is a flaw, not a sign of quality.

4. Longevity / shedding
Pony hair is notoriously delicate.
It sheds, rubs down, and can go bald or patchy very quickly. This is just the nature of hair-on leather. It is not a hard-wearing material.

Ironically, if a rep has hair glued onto leather instead of being true hair-hide, it may actually shed less. But that would also make it inaccurate, because the wear pattern would not match the authentic material.

QC point:
A version that stays perfectly full, fluffy, and even over time may actually be another callout.

5. Rarity / believability
This bag is ultra limited in distribution.
If you are worried about being called out by anyone who really knows Chanel, you need a very solid story. The usual “I got lucky” explanation may not work here because this version does not seem widely accessible and appears heavily prioritized toward vvip profiles.

QC point:
Even if the physical details were perfect, the rarity alone makes this bag difficult to pass off casually. Have a strong and believable story ready IF that matters to you.

Overall verdict
This is a very hard bag to rep correctly.
The current versions I’ve seen are all pretty inaccurate. I’ve also just been sent an early 187 PSP while writing this post, and although I haven’t examined it in full detail yet, first
impressions are not promising.

If accuracy matters to you, I would sit this one out for now.

If you just want the look and do not care whether it passes as auth, that is totally valid. No shade at all. I personally like the look enough that I’d still do it despite knowing it will probably never pass.

But please don’t flood the sub asking whether this bag is calloutable.

Yes. It almost definitely is.

I’m looking into buying my first BV rep, particularly these 2 styles (both in a small size I believe) and I wanted to see where everyone got theirs, how long you’ve had it to date, who you got it from (last 4 digits of WA will do), and how it’s holding up!

Edit to include my observations: • Not a fan of the yellow tone of brass - could be the lighting so I asked for more pictures. • The inner pocket looks big - like it belongs to a 30 instead of a 25. • I also asked for more pictures to see the engraving/stamps on it.

I ordered two Cel bags (Triomphe and small Nino) and a panthere watch from Doris. Really went for it on my first order and have already placed two more! Wanted to share the things I got and the timeline since I thought these posts were SO helpful before placing my order

6/11 - contacted her for pricing on the items I was interested in
6/12 - sent payment via PPFF
6/13 - received my first PSP for a bag, we went back and forth for a minute but I was unhappy with the off center placement of the stamp on the buckle and she agreed to swap it for me
6/15 - received PSP for the watch and gave her the GL to ship
6/16 - PSP for both bags - the replacement and the other one I ordered. I approved and she shipped. I also received tracking for the watch at this time
6/17 - received tracking for bags
6/22 - received watch
6/27 - received bags, wore the crossbody out, and my husband dropped it IN THE ROAD and scratched the hardware 😑 but oh well! I love that for reps, I can have beautiful bags and things that I don’t have to stress about damaging or “looking worn.” Actually when he dropped it the first thing I did was stare angrily and say “you are SO lucky we didn’t spend over $4k for that bag.”

No weird smells, bags are gorgeous, we’re well packed - not smooshed or anything - and working with Doris was great. It was definitely scary sending so much money off but she was very responsive (and has continued to be!) and didn’t seem annoyed or anything while answering all my possibly stupid newbie questions whether. Overall I am very pleased with my first order and thrilled to have discovered this whole world. I’m sure there might be callouts someone with more experience might have pointed out, but I still love them and am happy with my purchases. I’ve always loved nice bags but they have never been in reach so this is truly so exciting and so fun.

A very first-world problem I suppose…. So I’ve decided that I absolutely want the Chanel Maxi Flap S26..

And I want this to be perfect. It maybe a small move for others, but it’s the first time I’m dropping $$$ for a rep. And I am so excited.

Currently in my research mode, still looking into every detail of finding the perfect bag.

However, I think I may be overthinking but I need y’alls opinion as well.

On the tongue of the flap - on many reps you will find that there are two stitches on each side, but on the auth, you will find none - but slightly indents.

And comes the dilemma of the right shape. If we’re not careful enough, we’d probably get ripped off with a literal rectangle and no slightly, but beautiful circular corners. So please be careful.

I’m attaching pictures of the close-ups I could find, everywhere and anywhere. The Chanel website, influencers who claim they have the real bag, and many reps.

In fact, am I going crazy? I see these stitches on bags of people who have done a whole trip to Europe, the store, bought it and unboxed the bag in front of us, and yet I still see the stitches or I could be wrong. It’s such a small detail, but I want to make sure I make no mistakes.

CC vanity From Forest “Forrest” who doesn’t disclose which factory the bag will come from but assures its high tier. Only decided to test out because I’ve seen other reviews that were positive about Forest in this group and other popular groups.

So I wanted this bag so badly in the shiny version. Now i am not sure if it makes it look to fake. Obviously the wrinkles don’t help but I’ll get those out. I haven’t seen the authentic one in person so maybe it’s the same. What do you all think?

Review: Chanel Maxi Flap SS26 (32 cm) from Shunyang Factory
I wanted to share my thoughts on the Chanel Maxi Flap SS26 (32 cm) from Shunyang Factory, as I don’t think this factory gets nearly enough attention.
A little about me
I’ve bought, owned, and even resold authentic luxury handbags for the past 10 years. However, over the last few years I’ve moved into the replica world because I simply got tired of luxury brands’ greed, constant price increases, declining quality, and poor customer service in boutiques.
I’ve tried most of the well-known Chanel factories, and 187 is still my personal favorite. That said, I wanted to see how a more budget-friendly option would compare.

Factory: Shunyang
In my opinion, Shunyang is an overlooked upper mid-tier factory. It offers excellent value for money, especially if you don’t want to spend top-tier factory prices.
I paid $279 + 59 in shipping

The bag
I chose the taupe color with silver hardware, and it’s honestly a beautiful combination.
The leather is one of the first things I noticed. It has gorgeous, visible grain that gives it a sturdy, luxurious appearance. It doesn’t feel overly soft or flimsy. It has structure while still allowing the natural slouch you’d expect from a Maxi Flap.
The hardware also exceeded my expectations. It’s incredibly polished, almost mirror-like, and genuinely reflective. Small details like that make the bag look much more expensive than it actually is.
Overall, considering the price point, I think the quality is very good. Is it on the same level as 187? No. But I also didn’t expect it to be. For significantly less money, you’re getting a well-made bag with beautiful leather, great hardware, and a shape that feels true to the authentic design.
If you’re shopping on a budget or buying your first Chanel replica, I would absolutely recommend giving Shunyang a look.

Very happy with this bag! I initially wanted it from 187 but the wait was too long and I had already been waiting on another bag from 187 for 2 months so I just went with God.

It’s soft to the touch but seems a bit stiff overall so I’m hoping it becomes more supple with use. The leather is thick and has a nice pebbling to it. There’s a few minor mistakes within the stitching but nothing too noticeable. It came with a nice leather smell which I personally enjoy and I actually love the quality of the fabric lining, they nailed that part.

I was on the wishlist for the auth version of this bag but I’m glad I went the rep route because it’s quite bigger on my frame than I imagined so I’ll probably use it in the fall/winter mainly. I think the thickness of the leather makes it feel bigger as well.

Seller: Tiny Jenny is my go to now! She is sweet and chatty and always willing to answer questions. I haven’t bought many reps so I feel at ease with her and she responds fast!

Overall: I would recommend this from God! I can’t say they made it spot on to the auth but it’s still gorgeous and I’m excited to wear it with some long coats in the winter 😄

Does it matter to you guys if the hardware on your bag doesn’t match your jewelry when wearing it? me personally always have a white gold love bracelet & ring in addition to whatever gold jewelry i’m wearing so it matches no matter what. Maybe add a little diamonds in there too🫣. I can say some outfits do just look better all white gold / silver & some with all gold.
