AICTE PGDM 2026-28 Batch — Fee Refund Deadline Extension | Mass Complaint Drive | All Colleges
Hey everyone,
This post is for ALL PGDM 2026-28 students across India who are facing fee refund issues this admission season.
What happened?
AICTE released the Academic Calendar 2026-27 on 2nd June 2026 — giving students just 21 days to withdraw with full refund. The deadline was 23rd June 2026.
No prior notice. No awareness. Nothing.
Compare this with previous years:
2024-25 → September 11, 2024
2025-26 → Extended to August 21, 2025
2026-27 → Suddenly June 23, 2026
AICTE moved the deadline 2+ months earlier than previous years without any adequate communication to students. Most of us were waiting for July/August deadlines like every previous year — because that’s what AICTE always did.
The ground reality:
Thousands of students across India were still in the middle of their admission decisions in late June — comparing offers, waiting for IIM/top college results, evaluating scholarships. Nobody expected a June 23 cutoff.
Students who withdrew on June 24, 25, 26, 27 — before the course even started on July 1 — are now being told by their colleges:
❌ No full refund
❌ Refund only if seat gets filled
❌ Pro-rata deductions will apply
We never attended a single class. The course hadn’t even started.
What AICTE must do:
Last year when a similar situation arose, AICTE extended the deadline from July 31 to August 21, 2025. They can and must do the same this year.
We are asking AICTE to extend the fee refund deadline to at least July 31, 2026 — giving students who withdrew before course commencement their rightful full refund minus ₹1,000 as per Clause 8.18.1 of the AICTE Approval Process Handbook.
