Dyson V11 Extra Manufacturing Date Format

I just bought a brand new Dyson V11 from an acquaintance who got it as a gift. This person is solid and is willing to buy it back if the warranty is not adequate (which I’ve set to 1 year 6 months). Apparently warranty begins 3 months after manufacturing date if you don’t have the invoice.

The box has a date on it as I’ve shown in the picture. I’m wondering if that is September 19, 2025 or September 25, 2019. I strongly think it’s the former because I don’t believe the V11 Extra existed back in 2019. Apparently it only hit the shelves in 2024.

How haven’t we solved internet in the city?

I just moved to a new apartment where an internet deal is not offered by the building. When looking up options, I found that I only had one option - Comcast. Apparently, Monkeybrains was available too but when they came to my apartment to install service, they couldn’t find the CAT3 cable that they thought was available in my apartment.

Comcast is expensive, monopolistic, has terrible upload speeds and bad customer service. Apparently, it is the only option available to many other residents as well. Why is it still the only option? Despite being known as one of the most technologically advanced cities in the world, why haven’t we established multiple fiber options throughout the city? Are there projects in progress that are going to create more options?

What are my options for heating my new apartment?

Hi there,

I just moved to a new apartment. It is an old building with a central heating system where a radiator is controlled from the boiler room. It was a surprise to me that the heating was managed by the building and individual residents did not have control over it. My previous was in a new building where I could control the heating from my room.

I woke up this morning to the radiator apparently doing its job but I felt a little cold. I was hoping to buy an electric heater but my lease specifically says “Use of space heaters is prohibited unless approved in writing by Owner / Agent on a temporary or emergency basis”. How do people usually deal with insufficient heating in this city? I pay my own electricity bill so I don’t understand why this restriction is present in my lease.
