I own a Dyson V8 advanced (battery gone to hell after 3 months, theyre replacing it)

I know AI is not always right but it indicated yeah, I'd be getting less suction. 🤔

And googling just confused me on how many models of V8 there is tbh haha

My V10 works whenever it wants, not when I want or need it!!! I believe there must be some sort of malfunction with the trigger mechanism, sometimes by juggling it a little it starts, sometimes it doesn’t…. Any ideas?

I’ve never posted before but I need advise and want to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I have been wanting a Dyson for YEARS and after getting my masters degree and being at my job for a year I decided it was time to get one. After months of searching I decided to buy the Refurbished Dyson Airwrap I.D for $410.39. I bought it on April 28, 2026.

I had the machine for about a month when it broke. No big deal it came with a year long warranty, so I reached out to support and they had me send the machine to them. After a few weeks, I got an email (June 11, 2026) stating that the machine was fixed and is in the process of being shipped back to me. Then I heard nothing. I never received shipping information or a tracking number.

So on June 16, 2026 I reached out to support and they told me my dyson hasn’t ever reached the repair facility and once it did they would fix it and ship it back to me. I sent screenshots of the repair update to support and they told me they would submit a claim with the Concern Team because my product was lost. I was told I would hear from them in 3-5 business days.

After 5 business days with no update, I called support. I was told that the product was delivered to my address on June 17, 2026. A day after I was told by support it was lost and they had never received it. I live on a busy street and it was delivered at 7pm, after I would’ve been home for the night. UPS left it on the front porch of my apartment and not in the mailroom.

Now, after two more months of almost weekly phone calls and claims with UPS, Dyson is refusing to take accountability for not giving me any shipping information and refuses to give me a refund or new product. UPS won’t do anything either since they delivered the product to my apartment complex. I just don’t know what to do at this point and I am beyond frustrated and upset about this situation. If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

I was just curious and wanted to know how well my Dyson did his job! We work together twice a day in our household with cats, and a lot of dust ofcourse! So I pulled out my flashlight, stand besides the Dyson in his holder on the wall and watches what is happening inside! And I saw something MOVING inside over there. First I felt disgusting, but when I look at it calmly I think it was just an little ant that was running around in there! But we all know we find white pretty fast moving creatures running in the green laserlight every now and then. We are fighting our battles in our houses against them! Seeing that, I do hope so, running ant up and down in the dust compartment it makes me smile: there you are little bastard and don’t you ever Think about escaping that dust compartment ever again. Finding Nemo is a beautiful happy story in comparrison with this one: Nemo will find his way out, this moving “what? that!” Thing will end up in the burning fire someday…

Hi! I’ve owned my vis nav since December (I got it for Christmas on sale for only 350$). I’m looking to get a nicer robot eventually, but I’m kind of hesistant to get the spot scrub while it’s still so expensive. I am mainly just asking this to people who have the Vis Nav and the spot scrub ai, what are your experiences with it. Is it a major improvement in any way from the Vis Nav? Would you reccomend getting another type of vacuum? Or do you have positive experiences with it?

Hi, I’m planning to buy a vacuum cleaner for my home and would really appreciate your opinion.

I currently have an offer for the Dyson WashG1 + Dyson V8+ combo for ₹67,000. My requirement is to have good everyday vacuuming for dust, hair, sofa, mattress, etc., while also having a proper floor-washing/mopping capability.

Do you think the Dyson combo is worth spending ₹67K on, or would you recommend a better combination/product?

I’d especially like to know your opinion based on actual cleaning performance, reliability, maintenance, battery life, after-sales service in India and long-term value, rather than just specifications.

If there’s another vacuum + mop combination you think is better than both, I’d definitely like to know about it.

Hi guys, so we recently had moldy wall remediation done due to which mold spores spread throughout the house. We got the dyson V8 absolute vacuum cleaner as on the website they mention it's sealed hepa filteration. Today, we called the demo guy and he said that this vacuum cleaner doesn't have a hepa filter, I'm really confused. Does any of you have information on this? Is dyson V8 absolute, the purple one, does it have hepa filter or not? Is it safe to use for mold fragments spread in home or not?

Hi everyone! I have a Dyson V11 outsize that I purchased in 2021 and am looking to upgrade. The outsize has been out of stock in dysons website for weeks, but Best Buy has the unit. This week, the price dropped and it's 904.99 which is kind of an odd price. Does anyone know if it's being discontinued?

Unsure if I need to bite the bullet and buy this one now, but don't want to buy if a new one is getting ready to be released soon? I have 2 golden retrievers and am vacuuming twice a day so the larger bin is what keeps me attached to the outsize!

Any insight would be appreciated!!

I've been using a V11 outsize in my home for over 6 years. I remember getting it right when they announced it. It has worked great. I previously also had a Dyson ball and another full size Dyson. I got rid of one and I don't remember the last time we used the Dyson ball. We also have a roborock robot. The v11 has worked well, but unfortunately I cleaned the filter and then left it next to the dock while it dries. Another family member then grabbed the vacuum and put the wet filter back onto the vacuum and tried to use it. It immediately started to malfunction. It now won't turn on. I assume I am going to need to replace it. I don't really want to spend $1k on a v16. Costco has the Gen5 detect extra for $889 or the v15 detect total clean extra for $570. (Or I could just get a refurbished V11 outsize from Dyson for $250). What would you all recommend? Do any of my current accessories work with the newer models? How about my spare batteries or the dock/chargers?
