Hi,

We're looking to buy a (used) Dyson but there are so many options. According to you, which vaccum is really worth it? We're planning on spending around 200$ for it as it's gonna be used one. Thank you!

I've also thought about shark ninja but I'm not sure the quality/longevity is here.

We live in a appartment (planning on moving to a house in the next 2 years) and have a cat. A few carpets around our place but not to much.

3 weeks ago I bought a Cleaner Head for a UP16. I’m a repairman and have been working on Dyson’s only for 12 years. 2 days ago I went to buy the same part after giving the client a quote but it had a slight price increase of 82% YEP from $90 to $164. How can they justify an increase of that much over night and without any warning to their repairers. It’s as bad as paying $1500 for an Outsized V11 only to find the bad design of the motor head destroys the $35 roller brush and they’re not available and haven’t been for more than 6 months. Caveat emptor!!!!

Can anyone shed some light on these issues I’m having with my machine? I have a step in my kitchen where my dinning and back door area is. My older Dyson robot vacs had no issue with me picking them off the base starting them and they would clean and return to their starting spot.

When I pick the spot and scrub up and place it down the steps and press start, it says location found then says it needs to return to the dock to charge or clean brush. I have mapped the area multiple times.

I called Dyson they said to try only vacuuming this area which I will try after work but this vacuum won’t mop 1/3 of my house??!?

Also I feel like the vacuuming kind of sucks. My old Dyson robot vacuum did a much better job.

Is there anyway around this other than possibly moving the base down every time!?

I’ve had to replace my BP04 three times because of a bad smell coming from it -kind of like an egg smell.

Now the third machine is doing the exact same thing, and the smell starts after just a couple of days of use. Pretty disappointing.

Has anyone else had this issue or figured out what’s causing it?

I know from the hairdryer that it has a removable mesh filter that collects dust over time and needs to be cleaned to prevent overheating.

With the Mini Cool, I can’t seem to remove the filter, so how is this supposed to be maintained? Dust trapped inside the filter obviously won’t just magically disappear, so I’m trying to understand the proper way to clean it.

I have the Airwrap i.d. multistyler Curly + coily. This is the one with the big (2 part) diffuser. With the pretty box and handy travel bag. But the diffuser doesn't fit in either of those. How do you store it?

I’m looking to buy my first Dyson cordless vacuum and could really use some advice.

I’m currently deciding between:

- Dyson V10 Absolute
- Dyson V12 Detect
- Dyson V15 Origin

A bit about my situation:

- Apartment is around 70m² / 750 sqft
- hard floors (no carpet)
- Looking for something lightweight and easy to maneuver
- I care a lot about long-term durability / reliability (my current vacuum is 15+ years old, so I tend to keep appliances for a long time)
- Budget is around €500
- I care more about practical use and longevity than having the newest features

My main questions:

1. If you’ve owned any of these long-term, how has battery life / reliability held up?

Would really appreciate honest owner experiences rather than spec-sheet comparisons.

I've been a super fan of Dyson products for over 15 years, and I have at least 2 devices in each room of my house. I also have multiple Dyson appliances at my workspace. Basically, Dyson is my most recommended company and I've always felt like everything they make is perfect.

Well, that changes today. I received my hushjet mini cool and I simply cannot make myself like it.

Aesthetic issues:

1. It's suspiciously shaped

2. The pink is very flesh- like

3. The top resembles a butt hole

Design flaw:

1. The placement of the intake holes is a design flaw, as most people hold their fans at the base. They should have put it a bit higher up. I felt a slight suction each time I turned the fan on. That cannot be good for the ventilation.

2. It's called the hushjet, but is anything but hush. On the lower setting, it was already louder than all my other mini fans (ranging from $1.50 on Temu to ~$30 on Amazon)

This will be my first ever Dyson return. I'm quite disappointed. Does anyone feel the same way? What do you guys think about the hushjet mini cool?
