studying abroad (self initiated vs exchange)

if you do self initiated study abroad, does it still cost the same as uva law's tuition? also how easy is it to get self initiated study abroad? im thinking about going to copenhagen because they have good connections with the united nations but idk if i should just stick to trying to do an exchange program

Camden waterfront

Hi guys I’m from Virginia but visiting Jersey for work. I want to spend my last day here doing something cute and I was wondering if going to Camden waterfront around evening is a good idea. Also, where is a good place to park? Can I just park in the Hilton nearby or is it better to find a garage? Also it’s just gonna be me and a few female coworkers so I wanna ask if it’s safe around evening too.

just a list of questions

Hi!! I’m an incoming 1L and I have a couple of questions that I wanted to ask. I know little to nothing about law school other than the basic stuff so I just want some guidance.

  1. Will I be able to join any extracurriculars my first year? If so, which ones? Do they have to be non-law or does it not matter?

  2. How helpful is the career center? I wanna do big law but I wanna choose my firm wisely.

  3. How helpful are the professors in terms of office hours and just needing help?

  4. Is it better to hand write notes or type, from your experience? I used to do iPad notes during undergrad but idk if I should get used to typing.

  5. Just how bad is 1L? I know it’s the hardest year but is it.. doable? Idk
