I am a first year medical student at dmu. It was never on my mind to enter this uni and i absolutely hate it. My parents were strongly against abroad before and let me pick anything I want in the uae. I got into all medical schools here except for one. I choose dmu for hospital connections and strong rotations during clinical years. Anyways it’s been a month and it’s been absolutely dog shit in all aspects. So I need help if anyone knows anything about transfers ( even abroad my parents are trying to be open minded about it) into second year or starting over from scratch.

I would appreciate any universities for medicine yall would recommend and why. Even if in the UAE as long as it’s solid.
I prioritize a good education and ability to give students opportunities for residency abroad such as US. A good university life and campus would be preferred because this is what is pissing me off about dmu.

I am a month away from university and I do not know which university to move ahead with for medicine. My options are: Dubai medical university, UoS , ajman university.

Can anyone who is in these universities or picked a university this year help?

I have a main issue with each. Ajman is to relatively new and many said it isnt really strong for residency abroad. UoS the foundation year is a big risk that I am genuinely scared of because I do not want to lose a year and I have literally dedicated my life for medicine so I won’t go anything else. DMU (most likely) my issue which is honestly kind of stupid is that it’s all girls and there is not much of a university/ college life atmosphere with many events unlike the rest.

I have been waitlisted from mbru and I am curious if anyone so far has gotten off the waitlist? Also what other universities do you recommend for medicine here. I applied to AU, DMU and I’m considering UoS, RAK and open to anything honestly
