Weird Glitch with Moral Points

So I started with Metro 2033 Redux from the App Store, I played it and I never noticed the drip sound or the flash when receiving a moral point. I got the good ending. Then I started Metro Last Light Redux, and noticed the flashes and drip sounds. Both of them had similar or the same levels of gamma and volume.

Then I decided to start all the way at the beginning with Metro 2033 Redux again, and that was when I noticed the flashes and drip sounds in that game.

What happened??
