Some of my favorite Old Stone House events are this weekend (“Tear Down the King” and the free repair shop,) plus Niblo’s Garden is back at Green-Wood and Chloe Radcliff, Jamie Wolf and Chris Redd are all doing neighborhood standup sets.

June’s last weekend is packed in Park Slope w/Brett Goldstein, Abby Govindan, John Hodgman, a Puppetworks celebration, ‘As You Like It’ and a cycling race in the park, and DJ set in front of Central Library.

Plus: Pride disco skate night, a letter-writing club, and tree volunteer work on 4th Ave.

Between a possible Knicks championship, Brooklyn Pride on 5th Ave and World Cup games at reasonable hours, this weekend has the makings of an all-timer.

Noise complaints quiet Pride at Ginger's

Ginger’s announced on its Instagram Monday that “due to ongoing noise concerns in the neighborhood, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the majority of our DJ events during Pride this year.”

Last year, to celebrate their 25th anniversary, Brooklyn’s oldest lesbian bar had three Pride events, all with DJs.

Was anyone there last year (as a Pride-goer or a neighbor affected by noise) who’d flag anything notable?

We’ve got a perfect weather forecast for Park Slope’s fabulous weekend: The BK Half winding through the park, the Fab Fifth Ave Fair, the Bike Jumble at Old Stone House, and community days at Powerhouse Arts and BAM Community Days.

Plus Iris Van Herpen is going to be in-person for her new BAM exhibit, Molière in the Park returns tonight, and there’s a Shirley Chisholm exhibit opening in the park.
