Am I crazy? Insurance

Tried searching and haven't found anything in the sub, maybe I'm blind. I've been on the computer and phone today looking for insurance and the quotes I'm getting are fucking crazy. One for $9800 and another for $14,300 for the year. Are people really paying $1k month for insurance? All the places ive called or gotten quotes from have all quoted for $1million policies. I'm in so cal so maybe that's why? I'm gonna keep looking but damn!

Well, they just dont fit.

I got the right size and tried all the tricks. I'm just too skinny to have a pair I guess. I wanted them for work so I need to ankle support. On the fence about selling them or keeping them to wear as a casual boot where support isn't as critical. Just not sure I'd actually wear them casually. Dammit!

New boots skinny ankle help needed.

Ordered a pair of work boots and did my best to get the proper sizing. They seem to fit ok on my feet but the ankle/leg portion is WAY too big. I am really thin and have always had a hard time getting boots that fit properly. Would this be something a good cobbler could fix for me? They are brand new and I could sell them for almost what I paid but they are limited edition so I'd like to keep them off possible. Just not sure how it all works, if they could take out material where needed and still leave it for my feet.

Also a follow up I just thought of assuming it can be done. Any recommendations as to what to ask a potential cobbler when looking for someone to do it? I want to make sure I find someone that can alter them and they keep the same quality and durability.

Any help of guidance is appreciated.

One of the rescues I transport for asked if i was free kind of last minute. They said a pup needed to be picked up the following morning and taken to meet a ling distance transport. I said sure. This senior gal had been at the shelter for a while. Im glad I was able to help spring her loose and get her one step closer to her forever with soft beds, cozy blankets, lots of snuggles, and wholesome food. She was extremely sweet and a shelter favorite. A bunch of employees came and said goodbye when they found out she was leaving. We even saw someone coming in to work when we were almost to the truck and she squealed, "Coco!". I asked if she wanted to say goodbye and she was very happy about it.
