I(F17) hate chores and cooking way more than seems normal. How do I stop dreading them before I move out for uni?

I know nobody likes chores, but my dislike feels like it’s on another level

I have a family of 6(3 younger siblings) so I’m expected to contribute. My parents don’t actually ask for much, yet I get irritated even by something as easy as clearing the table. I’ll leave dishes sitting for hours until my mum gives up and does them herself. I feel guilty about that, but I still can’t make myself do them.

Cooking is the same. I can make a handful of dishes and they turn out average, but I despise doing it. I won’t even cook for myself. I’d rather eat yoghurt or whatever else is in the fridge(I actually never cooked for myself during summer break instead opting to eating at my grandparents or eating whatever in the fridge), because I just don’t see the point.

I wondered if my phone was the problem, so last summer I deleted all social media and limited my screen time to an hour a day for a month. I still hated every chore.

I’m graduating this year and will be studying away from my family, so I really want to build these life skills. I already know how to do them. What I want is to be able to do them without such intense dislike. My parents keep reminding me it’s necessary, and they’re right.

Has anyone been through this? What do I do? Help a girl out please

What should I do with ielst 8.0?

Hi chat i’m a rising senior and i'm feeling a bit burnt out and regretful about how I spent my summer. when I was younger, I sorta thought getting a high ielst score was a golden ticket for studying abroad. Because of that, I spent about 2 months trying to push my ielst from 7.5 to 8.0(and partly because 8.0 sounded more satisfying than 7.5)

Now that i'm actually deep into the application process, I realize I still have to deal with the SAT, csca, and essays, and it feels like 8.0 vs 7.5 practically makes 0 difference for most unis!! I honestly feel like I wasted a solid chunk of time that could have gone toward my sat and rest. I really don’t care where I go If it’s 100% scholarship. Help a girl out :‹
