Why does all the people from Ippos school look so old

It was about ep 41, Ippos mom gets hospitalized from over work and later in the episode theres this strange looking character that appears and offers to help Ippos mom and their business. This guy is acting very familiar with Ippo, then it's revealed that this old looking dude is Umezawa. Ippo hasn't really changed and neither has kumi, but everyone from Ippos school look about 30+. They should only be about 19-21. I get that most of them have real jobs and that actually sucks out your life, but they look older than dante bro lmao

Was anyone else shocked when we learned Kimura and Aoki are actual top ranked boxers?

So early in the anime before Takamura is the middle weight champion for japan there is so much shit talked about Kimura and Aoki (technically it was only by Takamura), and the way they acted didn't exactly make them seem any more competent and when we actually. Then we actually see their fights and its...its alright. Their fights didn't have much detail so they looked really lame and are made to look like even bigger idiots. Especially in Aokis fight (the fight that Hayami opened for), the guys couldn't even cheer for Aoki out of embarrassment. So i looked up what rank they are at the start of the show and Kimura is 7th in his class and Aoki is 5th in his (at least according to google so idk how accurate). I was little surprised when these guys are actually up there, was anyone else?

Ippo vs Mashiba

Why didn't Mashiba cheat against Ippo (other than not letting go during a clench)? Maybe he did and i didn't notice or anything, but from the other fights we saw with him, like getting his boxing license he used the flicker to hit his opponent in the back of the head which is illegal (or i think it is, i saw something about hitting people in the spine and back of the head was illegal, but i may be wrong) and then in his fight with Miyata he stepped on his foot on purpose. And he also has a problem with ignoring the referee like breaking his clench or when the fight is over/bell is rung. He really didn't do any cheap tricks during it and i just gotta wonder why

S1 tournament

(Having to do spoiler tags for rules although most ppl in here are probably all caught up)

Just started watching the show and am at ep 25 so far, Miyata just lost to Mashiba Ryu, and when Ippo was fighting Kobashi I was thinking how the tournament should end and wondering what could be the most interesting outcome. If Miyata didn't kick Ryus ass off the bat until he cheated, I was thinking "oh they probably gonna have wrath over here just dominate Miyata and then beat Ippo, so they can show that they're around the same level and can still climb." Or that Miyata would beat Ippo to keep their score even, 1 to 1 then 1 to 2, then Ippo would say they'll get em back on their way to the championship or something. But now that cheating pussy has beat Miyata leaving Ippo on an anger spree, ig it'll be Ippo winning the whole thing (or not idk yet)

Cant wait to watch more though, maybe even the bullies will join boxing later down the line

If the petrification and heal basically anything, how come it can't heal nearsightedness (fuzzy sickness)

Maybe idk enough about eyes and its not just some damage to them that cant be repaired (even though lazer eye surgery exists), but like when Kinro, Suika, and Chelsea get frozen they still need glasses

Make it make sense

Why do the tsukasa army just look like cavemen?

I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE CAVEMEN, on a technical level at least, but in s2 ep 2 or 3 we see a group of statues Tsukasa wants to wake up, and a few of them already look like savages and such. So we know its not something they're doing with their hair when they wake up, thats just how they look, but who in their right mind would just look like that in their everyday life

T: "I need you to find a man named senku, the smartest man of our time. I killed him and i need you to be sure he's dead"

G: "If you killed him yourself, how could he be alive? You are the ongest strey highschool primeape, or did you only bonk him on the head?"

T:"No, i snapped his neck with my spear in such a way where he'd be unconscious so he can't suffer, but would still die in a mere hour or less."

G:"HOW COULD HE STILL BE ALIVE THEN!?"

T:"BECAUSE HE'S CAN BE! I DON'T BELIEVE HE'S DEAD! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"

So im at the chimera ant arc, Knuckle just started fighting Youpi, but his ability got me wondering. Why does he get such a cool ability to charge peoples nen and then take it away for 30 days or Kurapika gets had ass chains to fight the phantom troupe, but Gon? He gets rock paper scissors. Theres a whole wolf with missiles that can tell you're lying, Kite got a gamble machine, and hisoka gets bungee gum (which has the properties of both rubber and gum btw)

Gon gets a falcon punch that takes a sec to charge up, a weak blast that can only work as a smoke screen for rn, and a sword that hes maybe used once or twice for rn. Which don't get me wrong, out of powers in every verse, rock paper scissors is pretty cool, but when compared to other abilities in this show it's pretty weak, but like why give him such a weak set up.
