Connecting Bowflex bike
I'm going to look at a Bowflex bike this evening, offered very cheap (under $100), which I hope to buy for a friend who's doing cardio rehab.
From the seller's single photo the bike looks like a Bowflex C6, which should work 'semi-supported' though maybe needs an ANT+ dongle to do so. If the bike doesn't pair as is, but has a usb port, I'll probably go for it. But maybe there are earlier models of the Bowflex that wouldn't take a dongle?
I know that, if it works, features will be lacking, and that's okay, this is just to get him back to working his legs. (He is a lifelong cyclist and expert bike mechanic, but he's really out of shape.) I use Rouvy with a Concept2 Bikeerg myself, so I can't shift, but it's fine, it's like I'm riding a single speed bike--and hills are really hard.
If anyone's done this or has advice on the setup, please lmk. If your comment is 'you should get a Wahoo,' don't bother.
