A human fighter at peak athleticism, in full plate armor, equipped with a poleaxe, runs the animals gauntlet. Does he clear, or where does he stop?

The fighter has elite training and is at his athletic peak, with a champion-type physique in heavyweight combat sports. He wears a full set of plate armor and is armed with a poleaxe. If he survives his fight against one of the animals in the gauntlet, he is back to 100% for the next fight.

Round 1: Silverback gorilla. The fight takes place in a clearing.

Round 2: Siberian Tiger. The fight takes place on a plain.

Round 3: Brown bear. The fight takes place in a forest.

Round 4: Polar bear. The fight takes place in the tundra on rocky ground.

Round 5: White Rhinoceros. The fight takes place in the grassy savannah.

Just so you know, I put an image of a For Honor knight as an illustration, but we're talking about a fighter in historical plate armor here. No one could fight effectively in armor as massive as the one in the image. But I had trouble finding a good image of a knight in historical armor wearing a poleaxe and not something else, and I wanted a nice illustration.

The Seven Deadly Sins from the Hellaverse, a strange group: some brilliant design ideas, some mixed, and some failed ones.

Credits for the fanarts :

(@kanomareki) for the first one, (@Hellpple_HZ) for Lucifer, Wallpaper Cave for Asmodeus, Sinnawii for Mammon and (@BreadStarzz) for Leviathan

My thoughts on these character designs:

- Lucifer Morningstar, Sin of Pride: Mixed but overall positive

Overall, I really like his design, but I think it has some unfortunate flaws that prevent it from being absolutely perfect. First, I love the fact that he's dressed like a circus ringmaster. His white costume really gives him a lot of character. The fact that he's short-sized is also a good idea that contrasts with his power.

And finally, the whole rubber duck theme, as goofy as it may seem, is a beautiful way to represent his shattered dreams and his hyperfixation as a depressed character, making him both funny and endearing.

Now regarding the bad design ideas, I really think the apple is unnecessary in his outfit. That's some really unsubtle symbolism, and it feels rather heavy-handed.

And then, I'm not a fan of his mouth being full of sharp teeth; I think that suits the Sinners better, who are true demonic figures. It would have been a thousand times better if he had just had vampire fangs like his daughter Charlie.

- Asmodeus, Sin of Lust: Brillant design

I love this design; I think it's perfectly executed. It's a recurring theme among the Sins, but the fact that most of them are subversions of trope is a really good thing, in my opinion. It makes the universe feel alive and less predictable. Asmodeus is a playful, charming, and theatrical character, and his design reflects that perfectly. The flames are a beautiful way to symbolize Lust, the sin he embodies in a positive way.

- Beelzebub, Sin of Gluttony: Very mixed, some good ideas, some terrible

I have very mixed feelings about this design. I don't hate it like many others, but I recognize that it has a lot of flaws. Ultimately, it's too many different, partially incompatible ideas that they're trying to cram into a single design.

Making Beelzebub, the Sin of Gluttony, a very cheerful and colorful character is an interesting subversion of this trope, I think, especially since we already have plenty of monstrous representations of Beelzebub available.

But on the other hand, I really don't understand why they decided to make her a wolf character. As if there weren't already enough furry characters available in this show. Above all, it has absolutely no thematic connection to the character; it's just out of place. Plus, she also has insect features to fit the original demonic character, like her four wings and arms. But it just doesn't fit with the rest visually.

And finally, her main outfit from season 1, a pinky cheerleader like outfit, was just terrible. It's perfectly fine to be a cheerful character where intimidation was expected cause it's a good way to surprise the audience and create contrast. But you have to look at least somewhat impressive or visually respectable to be a Deadly Sin, like Asmodeus. Otherwise, you just look out of place.

At least they redeemed themselves in season 2 with a better color palette, going from pink to orange-red, and giving her an outfit that's a little less sparkly and more regal.

- Mammon, Sin of Greed: Brillant design

I love Mammon's design; it's perhaps the one that best suits his character. He embodies the sin of Greed, and he does it really well. Everything about him is excessive. He has the appearance of an overweight clown, a Christmas tree, and a giant spider all at once, as if he were so greedy he couldn't decide between the different design ideas. In this case the over-the-top design works, unlike with Bee.

- Leviathan, Sin of Envy: Not a good design in my opinion, very disappointing result

This is going to be quick because this character is so underdeveloped that there's not much to say anyway. In fact, I get the impression that her design reflects the fact that the creators really didn't care about her. Positive points: the idea of the two heads is cool. That's about it. The big problem is that Lyv just looks generic, at least within the Hellaverse: she looks like a background character and not at all like a demon royalty.

- Belphegor, Sin of Sloth: Meh, very forgettable

Same problem as Leviathan. The design is quite simplistic, with no immediately identifiable theme in its appearance. So far, Belphegor is entirely defined by her gimmick: being too exhausted and sleepy to give a damn about what's going on around her. We've seen better.

- Satan, Sin of Wrath: Awesome design

Finally! Satan is a freaking dragon! That automatically makes his design super cool, both because Satan is depicted as a dragon in the Apocalypse, and because dragons are cool. Satan's design truly embodies his Wrath sin: his appearance is menacing, and that's exactly what we expect from him.

Some might argue that he's less original than the others, but at the same time, of all the Deadly Sins, he's the one who really had to have the most demonic appearance possible, and he truly succeeded.

Demetrian Titus (Warhammer 40k Space Marine II)

Fight to the death.

Samus and Master Chief fight together, know their opponent and can prepare a strategy in advance. Titus doesn't know his opponents before the fight. No element of surprise on either side.

Latest news from the Pride ring: We have a new sinner who thinks he's the main character. He's expected to get stomped within 3 days. The Deadly Sins press secretary reacted to the news by replying, and I quote, "Lol, who gives a shit?"
