Asking for educational purposes

I’m eighteen and live with my mom, which I chose to do after a few years of split custody when they divorced. I left my dad’s house because I couldn’t stand watching my childhood home get progressively shittier. Every week I come back to take care of my dog because I know that I’m the only one who walks and spends good amounts of time with her, or at least I did before moving myself out. Anyway, every time I come back she has large bulbous ticks on her that haven’t been taken out, and every few times I find a hotspot on her. I also think my cousin, who lives with my dad, might be hitting her. I want to get her out or at least want her to stop suffering but I’m scared to take action.
This theory started when I listened to Fist Fuck off of Nardcore Hardcore, and about 2/3 through the song you can hear Dr. Know say something like “oh my god, El Duce, you’re my hero, i love you,” but when I googled it I couldn’t find anything. Then, I was watching compiled GG Allin concert movie on DVD with my friend, and I heard someone who sounded peculiarly like Dr. Know scream “EL DUCE!” two or three times. Anyone know about this?

Just bought a gen 7 Combat Application Tourniquet from NAR and I’m wondering if practicing with it wears out the tourniquet? Any advice on how to practice with minimal wear?
