Can't view saved comments under the saved section of my profile, only saved posts are visible. Issue only occurs in desktop web version. have checked out the android and ios apps for reddit and they are showing both the saved posts and comments.

have tried refreshing save site cookies and data, logging out, removing all extensions, different browsers, but still face the same issue.

have tried saving new comments on unsaved posts. they still don't appear.

issue not present on old reddit as saved comments are visible on old reddit and saved comments on new reddit still show the option to unsave. Main issue is they are not showing in the saved section of new reddit after i save a comment.

OS version: Win 11 with chrome and firefox

Problem - Saved comments are not showing in saved section of profile. Only saved posts are visible.

hoping this gets the attention of the admins or main mods since reddit is quite important for me as a information resource and having one of the core methods of tracing back information accessed earlier in the past broken ruins the core functionality of the platform.....

Update - as per advice from another user I tried accessing them (the saved comments) directly via this link: https://www.reddit.com/user/YOUR_USERNAME/saved/?type=comments

However it did not work....however using the same filter in the address bar for old reddit seems to work....(old.reddit.com/user/YOUR_USERNAME/saved/?type=comments)

It's possible it’s a bug with new Reddit’s UI/indexing. Old Reddit pulling them correctly means my data’s fine and something is wrong with new Reddit....

made a post earlier about how i was getting video stutters on certain sites while youtube worked fined....went ahead with all the troubleshooting steps...refreshed profile...fresh install...removed all addons....did sync with addons...did sync without addons...but no fix....

finally finally out disabling hardware acceleration fixed the issue but now, there is screen tearing which is even more annonying....no help either from the post i made....so i went through older reddit posts....and almost every single one of them mentioned media.wmf.dxva.d3d11.enabled set to false as the fix. I made the change while keeping recommended performance settings enabled so as the keep hardware acceleration turned on...and viola!!! it finally fixed the issue...

but as per my understanding....the command is disabling hardware video encoding, but i am not getting the screen tearing which was earlier present with hardware acceleration turned off.....so could someone please elaborate on what this command actually changes and whether there is a better fix. i have a dedicated gpu and about:support shows that hardware decoding for all the major codecs is present even though i had the stuttering issue....

EDIT - for added context here is a post from 3 years ago as well one that is only 10 months old....

1 - https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1j868bl/choppy_4k_video_playback_issues/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

2- https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/16pl9xo/videos_started_to_stutter/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

both posts have the same situation where hardware shouldn't be a issue...so why is it that this problem has been resurfacing for so many years with no fix in sight?....

As the titles states, if currently as an UK citizen i switch to another country through a vpn, i avoid uploading my government id and prevent linking them to my online profile....however if every country where a vpn server is located mandates age verification, what will be the point?....a vpn can spoof your location but it cant just spoof govt id....is this the end of digital privacy?....

i was hoping this nonsense would be limited to a few countries, but apple is rolling out age verification to even more countries....separate laws are made which are even more draconian like requiring annual verification like south korea, and even face id and stricter checks for biometric data like in Malaysia....

just a late night thought about the grim future which might await us....
