In an episode, Emma dyed her hair red but it turned out that the dye (or something) had water in it so it made her turn into a mermaid, but when she turned back human, the colour wasn't there anymore, so I was thinking that you kind of need water to clean yourself, so does that mean that they are clean in mermaid form but still have all the gunk on their bodies in human form ?

The ones from the market are too salty and I can never get the salt out of them no matterhow long U boil them and I've not found a Coldstore that has them (not that I have been actively searching tho)
