Is anyone here using G4 IEMs or EK500s for foldback? If so, do you keep them in some kind of sheath when handing them out or just relying on the belt-clip?

I've gone with G4s as an alternative to Comteks for a sweeter listening experience on the smaller shoots that I work on but to my chagrin they seem to be treated no better than a Comtek. My hope was to find some small pouches that would fit the receivers while deployed, ideally with a belt-clip. I've been looking around for different phone holsters but no dice yet. Most promising contender so far has been a combo tool & phone holster but there's at least one too many compartments that bring up the profile of the whole rig a bit too much.

Just wondering if anyone here has rigged up something similar.

Quick question for all you nerds out there. Would any of you know of a plug-in that would let me >!hire Krypt Pods as escorts!<? I have a plug installed which I believe has broken my game but I'm okay with it because it has let me >!pilot a Krypt Pod!< which is hilarious and I love it but I was hoping to bring along some "like-minded" friends as well.

Maybe there's some tech reason for why this wouldn't work? Granted EV:N is still a pretty Fresh, New Game^(TM) so I wouldn't be surprised if such a thing did not exist. Maybe in 20 yahren ...

Hi there! Lifelong Apple user here (sorry!) so I'm a bit lost when it comes to what's out there in the Android world.

I need a tablet which has OTG support through the USB-C connection and can run at least Android 6.0. It will just be running one application (for radio frequency analysis through the Airspy) so I don't need anything crazy.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Galaxy Tab A11 (not the +) without cellular. Based on what I've read this should do the trick unless I'm missing something! I've heard that the A9 Tabs would also work.

Howdy! This is something of a basic question but is there any potential risk in hot-patching a whip or SMA lead into a receiver while the unit is active? I'm not talking about powered antennae, just whips or leads to a distro running into something like an SRc, 411A, A10, etc...

Hot-patching a 3-pin XLR with 48v active is generally considered fine as the pins all connect at the same time so there's no short. Same cannot be said for patching with a barrel connector on a patch-panel as there would be a short. I'm less confident when it comes to a radio receiver. There's no active power coming off the top of my A10 so one would think it would be safe?

I'm only asking as my distro is full and so I was planning on occasionally removing one lead from a receiver to hook up to my TxAdvance dongle whenever I want to do another scan through my dipoles.
