Situation was clarified, you’re free to do whatever else you want outside of the community (if you further pursue this topic, that’s your thing only) but as of now those threads are locked.
Onto the main point of this post: I’m all in for hearing different opinions regardless if we agree or not, I respect what everyone has to say and you know from the rules that this place isn’t as strict as other subreddits. So please don’t take advantage of that to tear each other apart in the comments. A comment written with decency hits times harder than whatever new insults you can come up with. (And I’ve seen quite the variety). No one is entitled to being treated respectfully if they themselves aren’t capable to treat others with respect.
If we can’t have decent conversations with I might as well have to start resorting to timeouts like in kindergarten, which would be absurd but what else am I supposed to do?Should you really want to fight go and do it DMs (and heck if I know, would be damn funny if some end up as friends.)
Thank you.
So after the post by eaglez few hours ago, I went on Forza and checked the vas majority of the liveries Heraizen made and unfortunately to say, some of them are in fact stolen:
-the corvette by eaglez was originally made in fh5 for a competition I myself took part in as well (can provide the video if you want). Not only are the details spot on but also the best giveaway is the date of creation: eaglez’s was posted on the 8th this month, heraizen’s 12 days later on the 20th (idk about you, but that coincidence is big)
-then I went in and found some itashas heraizen “made” and after an investigation I can tell that both of these caddys are stolen and altered:
The matte one of the original by Vandalkov (and after checking their creative hub not only does this have more downloads, but the same livery can be found on a bmw, a Huracan and RCF and some other cars, as well as all of these being shared as vinyl groups as well). Now side by side you can obviously see some aspects on the front and back are different but the character itself is identical to the last imperfections.
Same story for the green one, there are slight changes in logos and placements, but otherwise everything is identical. And no, none of the itashas are replicas, I fact checked it. And then once again the most damming evidence is the dates of creation being at a much later point for heraizen. (I suppose 1 time it’s a coincidence, 2 times it’s interesting but 3+ times it’s kind of obvious.
-finally I had a look through the vinyl groups as well and found this gundam by Venom50th who you may know from fh5 for his character liveries. What I found (and I’ll send the video in the comments if I can) is that they not only are both exactly 912 layers, but they also have the exact same gaps and imperfections in the exact same spots and once again you can compare the dates of creation in the images
And there’s also the Acura livery which he recently posted with that one anime eye decal you see on the very front of the page (compare with images). Now up till this point I hadn’t ever checked the gamertags thinking heraizen was actually the one who had the vinyl group on the page and after comparison I can say they are in fact identical
Now, what’s my take on the situation? First of all from what I saw both here and on his creative hub, I would like to think that not everything heraizen made is actually stolen. For instance his signature irokawa and Nasa liveries I quite enjoyed but I also can’t deny that I won’t be double checking/more careful regarding his work.
Heraizen will not get banned or suspended this time (since let’s be honest I don’t think it’s the right measure) but I would like him to at least admit it. And do the right thing and unshare anything you’ve stolen (I’ll be checking again tomorrow)
Or to you directly u/Heraizen : you’re free to say your side of the story, but let’s be honest mate, even if you traced it (in the case of the gundam and koko itasha), it’s impossible get the same exact layer count with the same errors. If you had really traced it you would’ve filled the gaps and polished the errors.
On the topic of tracing: one thing is tracing something like idk the Michelin man (because the purpose is to have the Michelin logo accurately) and the other is to trace a character someone already made. I suppose, and this is addressing everyone else, you could trace a character, but then at least have the respect and integrity towards the original creator by not sharing it. Sure you may say “it’s just a game” “oh it’s not that serious” and so on. I understand that, we don’t all share the same opinion on this, but if it happened to you, you definitely wouldn’t like it.
I know what I’m talking about because I’ve had my stuff stolen just a month and a half ago.
But yeah that’s about it. Jump in the comments, yell at me if I’m in the wrong, I tried to check the situation from a neutral perspective till I confirmed anything.
