MacOS 9 Lives question
So I've been fixing up my old iMac G3 after the PRAM battery and HDD decided to die. Replaced the battery and watched a tutorial on doing an SSD upgrade.
Now I've been trying to reinstall OS9 but when trying from my CD it won't boot from disk. Which is new because the drive works.
So I tried FireWires target disk mode to install OS9 lives from my iMac G4 but it's basically refusing. If I try to burn it to a cd it fails to validate and if I do it mounted and via the TDM it either freezes or seems to go by without a hitch until it goes to finish when it throws an error about not being able to write the startup file.
I could just install OSX 10.3 But I always preferred having OS9 on my G3.
I'm hoping someone here may be able to offer some advice because I'm unsure where I'm going wrong.
