2019 civic si PCV valve

I replaced my PCV valve a few days ago and I’ve noticed that boost builds much faster now (same exact tune) and also my knock control has been holding steady at .50 when on the highway. My k.con normally hovers around .60-.70 when cruising on the highway. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m curious if it’s a coincidence or if the PCV valve has anything to do with it.

Oil overfilled

So I had an oil change last week and when I checked it this morning, it was up to the blue line on my dipstick. I know a little overfilled isn’t a big deal but this seems like alot overfilled (~3/4 quart over) and I don’t know if it will cause issues?

Chirping sound recently started happening

My 2019 si started making this high pitched chirping, sounds like it’s coming from the top end valve cover area.. anyone know what it might be causing it? No codes being thrown.

Is it okay to go into boost below 3k rpm?

Is it okay to go into low boost (5psi) when accelerating above 2k rpm? Or is that bad on the clutch and motor?

Back to stock tune - 19’ si

Welp, the Phearable 1.5 tune is too aggressive for my local fuel quality. I’ve been running it for a couple months now and everyone I go WOT, the K.con goes up to .80-.95

So I flashed the factory tune back on and now my K.con stays around .55 even after multiple pulls. I really liked the Phearable tune, it felt so much better but not at the cost of knocking potential. I don’t have 93 anywhere close to here either or E85 so I guess I’m stuck using the factory tune for now. Not sure how much more power I could realistically get on our low quality fuel anyways. Sigh.

19’ civic si shutdown shake

Does anyone else’s civic si violently shake for 1-2 seconds when shutting the car off? Car drives fine and idles smooth when it’s running and motor mounts look to be in decent shape. I can feel the shake in my seat.

Wunderladen rear motor mount

Installed the 75a Wunderladen rear motor mount on my 2019 civic si and I’m very impressed by how little NVH there is. I’m used to 70a hasports on my 8th gen and that would rattle your teeth. This one feels damn near like stock. So if you’re deciding which RMM to go with, give the Wunderladen a try!

2019 civic si sedan

41,000kms -1 owner. Bone stock.

I paid $25k CAD ($18k US)

Did I overpay? It was hard to compare listings since everything else had much more miles on them.

Mis shifting into fourth gear (2019 si)

I’ve mis shifted going from 5th into fourth gear twice now in 2 months. Does anyone else find the gate spacing is too close between 3-4 and 5-6? I’ve never done this before in the 16 years of driving manuals. Fortunately, I was only going 70mph both times it happened.

Gauge cluster randomly brighter

Just got my car a couple months ago and a few times it has went to full brightness out of nowhere. I try to adjust it down with the turn dial but it doesn’t respond. Has anyone had this happen to them?

2019 civic si wheel fitment

I finally decided what wheels I want for my 2019 civic si sedan. The only thing I’m unsure of is which offset I should go with.. 35 or 45. Car is staying stock ride height. Only worry with the 35 offset is the rocks hitting my paint since they stick out a little further. Then the 45 I’m not sure will clear the callipers.

10th gen si on Phearable 1.5 tune

My knock control shoot’s up to .74-.90 after only a single WOT 3-4 pull. I’m on 91 octane gas as that’s the highest I can get in my area. If I’m driving normally, my knock control stays around .49-.51 even if I’m doing some spirited driving with half throttle. It’s only after a WOT run that it shoots way up then takes about 20 minutes of driving normal to come back down. Is it safe to keep running on this tune? Am I doing damage to my engine?

What’s everyone’s max boost psi in map 1? It targets 19.5psi but I’m getting 22psi steady doing 3rd gear pulls.

How common is input shaft bearing noise? I have a slight whirring noise on my 10th gen that only has 42,000kms. My 8th gen has been making noise for five years but hasn’t really gotten worse and it’s at 356,000kms. Is it the lack of quality bearings that Honda uses?

are my motor mounts cooked or are the OEM mounts just soft as baby shit? Only 26k miles on them…
