Trying to revert PS3 back to OFW and keep getting "No Applicable Update Data Was Found"/"80029CCA" errors
I have a PS3 I bought years ago w/ CFW that I want to revert back to OFW before I transfer my main PS3's data over to it: I'll reinstall CFW afterwards.
Trying to follow this guide but I when I get to hitting Start + Select to install OFW I keep getting the "No Applicable Update Data Was Found" error.
I've confirmed my folder + file naming structure is correct. I've tried multiple flash drives; I've used them before for regular firmware updates, so I don't think they're incompatible. I've tried unplugging my controller immediately after hitting Start + Select. I've confirmed they're all Fat32 formatted w/ MBR. I've tried different F/W's and confirmed the MD5 hashes. I'm not getting anywhere. When I try installing F/W from the XMB just for kicks, I get the "80029CCA" error saying the data is corrupted.
I'm out of my depth here when it comes to console modding and out of ideas. I think the issue is that the CFW is preventing me from directly reverting back to OFW, but I have no idea of how to work around this, and I'm at my wit's end here. Could really use some guidance here.
EDIT: Solved. There was a setting in Rebug Toolbox to toggle QA flags to set the console back to CEX.
