So I have a PS3 that I modded back in like 2020 or 2021 and I updated the HFW to 4.93 so that I could access the PSN store to download some old games I bought. But now I can't activate Hen like I used to so any PS3 iso games that are on my HDD that I transferred through FTP I can't access them anymore because I can't open them from a folder that was in the XMB and I can't open managunz or any other app like that. How do I fix this? Is HEN even on my ps3? I don't know much about all the different mods available to ps3.

(sorry for my english, hope you understand my problem) I have a ps3 fat that the last time i open it's bd connector got corrupted, so because of that i have to install noBD CFW, now i fix that problem and now bd connected to ps3 but it's not read anything, does that mean my bd it's broken? Because of noBD CFW? Or maybe that it's not fully connected to ps3 board?

By the way i can insert disk in the console and remove it, that's work. As far as i remember before bd connector get corrupted, it's working

Update: re installed normall cfw through safe mode, now it's working, tnx

I've been thinking about homebrewing my old PS3 recently, but I'm stuck deciding which option to choose. I understand that hen is more light weight than a full custom firmware. I'm not interested in fully editing every aspect of my console, nor am I interested in modifying the games themselves.

I'm mainly interested in:

• Installing Games + their available updates & DLC (possibly playing them without needing HEN enabled if that's possible)
• Playing Games from other regions (mainly console PvZ on a EU PS3)
• Playing PS1 games (Maybe 2, though I don't need to since I've gotten a PS2 quite resently)
• Possibly playing the Krispt port of Undertale (though I can't seem to find it)

Other things to note

• I have a fat model (not one that can play PS2 disks)
• It's the EU region
• It has 3 different accounts on it, with one having some game data that can't be accessed on the others.
• I have experience with homebrew, managing to hack my 3DS and Wii U (+ vWii)

I just recently bought the backwards compatible ps3 (CECHE01) and have been loving it, i want to play my ps2 imports though and ive had alot of trouble downloading evilnat.

I would try to update via the xmb, the system would literally brick itself until I took the hard drive out and put it back in, which was a pain thanks to the screws being stripped.

Then in safe mode, id get an error saying the datas corrupted.

Im on 4.93, I cant use ps3toolset to get my flash memory and I tried the other new flash memory site too, yes I am using the 4.93 evilnat from psxplace and the file is definitely named what it should be.

Any advice or do I wait for ps3toolset?

But all im seeing is this is the only way to get PS3 games on cfw? It this true or can I use MultiMan same as I do with PS2 games

So I just acquired a ps3 that had webman on it and a few other programs. My problem is, I can’t seem to hook up to psn. I don’t know anything about these cfw that’s on it. Is there anywhere I can learn how to navigate this and actually use it? Explain it to me like I’m 5 please 😂

Tried to reach website through PS3 and also PC, but it shows me Error Code 522 on both of them. Do any know what the issue is? Is the site down? Is there any alternative? Thanks!

Decided I want to buy a ps3 again. Last one I had was a slim 3xxx and had to use Hen. Is it worth getting a 20XX/21XX for cfw or a super slim and just use Hen?

All I want to do is play iso’s, grind trophies, and play online legitimately(no mods) with said ISO’s.

Not really sure what this is but I'm kind of worried that it might be something serious. I'm hoping for a simple hdmi fix but im not sure. What should I do? It switches from being completely fine to suddenly tiny little red dots appear on screen. Its different when I hook it up to a different tv, like its worse, green lines and overall messed up.

So I have my external hard drive in NFTS Format and have a folder called GAMES but when I launch IRISMAN no games appear? Any Ideas. I have PS3 Hen Installed.

I found a solution thanks to another comment: I'm just going to put the solution here so it's not lost in about 10 different replies between me and another comment

I found a solution to my problem. The game now shows up. What I had to do was go into Irisman hit select then select tools then I had to make sure the 5th box down said "Cobra/Disc-less payload" Early when I first installed irisman I suddenly remembered accidentally changing it and the entire PS3 restarted. That's what been causing half of the issue. Making the game iso as I think that was the other half of the issue as the game now appears in ISO format.

Not sure whether to mod my PS2 Fat or just buy a PS3 instead.I'm UK based and mainly want to play PS1,2 and 3 games, but I like the idea of the better graphics/upscaling the PS3 offers. If I go with a PS3, which model is best for modding these days?

Hello, So I have recently got a PS3 and it's jailbreaked and I was told I can download roms and just copy them to PS3. The issue is that I have downloaded Mafia 2 and splitted it up as per FAT32 requirement of file size being 4GB. The first ISO which had a disk icon copied to the PS3ISO folder but the second ISO which has a question mark icon shows operation failed screen randomly at any point of getting copied also when it's copied around 80%. Please tell me if i am missing something and how do I fix this issue. Thank you
