New PS3 Themes Website! - Themezer

Hi r/ps3homebrew! I'm the developer of Themezer, a website with themes and a lot of other customization stuff for the Switch, Wii U, 3DS, and since a few weeks also the PS3! Although this isn't necessarily homebrew, I did think it'd be nice to share this here as well.

I had gotten some requests from people to support p3t themes because ps3-themes.com appears to be slowly dying. To make sure that all existing themes will stay available I've archived the entire ps3-themes.com catalog of 11711 themes and made it available to browse on Themezer! For those interested, I've also made the archive available on the internet archive: https://archive.org/details/ps3-themes.com

Themezer has quite a lot to offer:

Easily install themes on your PS3: Find any theme that you like, and type in the URL shown below the download p3t button on your PS3 browser (for example `http://ps3.themezer.net/T56\`)
You can upload new p3t themes 🎉 , publicly or privately
Manage your themes library by making collections
Many ways to search and filter the enormous collection, such as filtering by features (static/animated, SFX, cursor, ...), tags, date, and even by color!

I need some help!
I'm trying to contact the ps3-themes admin to see whether they are interested in transferring maintenance of ps3-themes (as they don't seem to maintain it anymore), and figure something out with the old domain to keep links working, but I can't get in touch with them. If you have or know someone someone who might have their contact details drop a PM please!

New Online 3DS Theme & BGM Editor

In these last few weeks Themezer's support for 3DS has been extended even more, with now a fully browser-based, local theme editor! It required making quite a few custom browser-compatible parsers/editors for fileformats (CWAV, BFWAV, BCSTM, body_LZ.bim), and audio parsers (DSP/IMA ADPCM), but it's here!

body_LZ.bin editing, with

Live preview (not 100% accurate as I'm not the best SVG artist, I'll improve it along th way)
Colors editing
SFX editing (converting, trimming, and encoding)

bgm.bcstm editing, with

Support for most common audioformats (mp3, ogg, ...)
Trimming
Loop point settings
Encoding, samplerate (with recommendations), and track volume
Estimated filesizes

While working on a theme you can even easily remote install it by clicking the "Remote install" button and scanning it with Anemone3DS, no SD transfers necessary!

It's still in beta but it'll be improved along the way based on your feedback.

Because some of you are wondering: NO, this is not an AI vibecoded project - it is an actual proper online editor. Themezer has been around for many years and will not provide something that doesn't work ;)

Themezer now supports 3DS/2DS Themes, Splashes, and Badge Packs and works with Anemone3DS!

I felt like the 3DS also deserved some more love and a better theming experience. That's why Themezer, the website mostly known for Nintendo Switch themes now also has support for 3DS/2DS Themes, Splashes and Badge packs 😍

No upload queue (automated approvals)
Update your submissions
Temporary Remote Installs, so you don't have to insert your SD card!
Allows NSFW uploads ;)
More extensive filtering and searching system
Create Splashes directly on the website from PNGs
Extracts assets so that you can view them individually

Faster browsing in Anemone3DS
Continued support in the future

Additionally, you can use Themezer with Anemone3DS by scanning the QR code just like you're used to, and an update for Anemone is almost ready to add Themezer as theme source, improve performance ⏩, and make it better in general!
