Try to get uvhash card from Infinite Silver Vault if you can, it's a ton of aliemus and gives huge crit buffs that will help consistency a ton

with this setup, two things can happen:

CASE 1 - YOUR DORESAIN IS SUPER OP

if your support dore is whale enough and has good critrate and good wheels, the evernights will crit and nuke the mini cats, creating more evernights, chaining into an infinite loop of evernights until you win. easy, problem solved, no issues

CASE 2 - YOUR SUPPORT DORESAIN KINDA GRIEFED

sometimes your support doresain will be on full exalt built and will have really bad critrate or all your evernights will simply fail to crit so you don't do enough damage to kill the boss and all the cats. if this happens, just try to stall (use white stance tentacles if you have aequor on team) and keep exalting with everyone until you hit 5 exalts. once you do, choose dore rouse. once dore is roused just repeat the cycle another time and now even exalt dores will be op enough to chain enough to win

General Strategy (thinly veiled speedrun) - guide

Hello, Angbak from Discord here. This guide will serve as a speedrun how to play every single comp in arc1 guide.

Part 1. Mobbing

Step 1 - Identify what is your carry main source of mobbing damage.

Exalt reliant carries - Mouchette, Sanga, Goliath (falls off ch7), Jenkins (falls off ch7), Kath, G.Murphy, Pollux

Command card reliant carries - Arachne, Corposant, G.murphy, Tulu, Salvador (falls off ch7), Xu (falls off ch7)

Posse reliant carries - Vortice

Rouse reliant carries- Arachne

Step 2 - Identify what your carry needs.

Exalt reliant carries

- aliens [equip either analysis of death (crit based) or elevated focus (non crit based)

- tiny wish (+35 aliens)

- whisper (+50 aliens to lowest alien unit after battle)

- aged (+1000 keyflare after battle - to use tiny wish)

The setup above will result in your carry always having exalt from battle 2 onwards so that you're able to exalt spam.

Command card reliant carries

- consistency in drawing the right card on turn 1

For AQ teams - use the same exalt reliant strategy to funnel aliens into Faros. Faros exalt tutors 3 cards from the deck. Ramona can do this too but only for 1 card and she's unavailable for some chapters.

For others - abuse chapter mechanics to make your card innate. The following chapters are able to do so.

Chapters 2, 7, 8, 9 - innate

Chapter 3 - discard hand, draw hand

Look for the following in shops

Echo - double plays, set a card to innate. THIS WILL EXHAUST YOUR CARD SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR THE BOSS

Dossier - sets a card to innate

Posse choice: if you're not using tiny wish, use Encounter in White to discard your hand and draw for more consistency.

Posse reliant carries

- just bring the right Posse

Use vortice posse on Sanga.

Rouse reliant carries

- equip Delirium on your Rouse carry.

E.g. Arachne rouse allows her to double play a card in ultra space. Purchase her rouse. With Delirium, you'll get her rouse in hand turn 1

For G.murphy specifically, because you dont have a tentacle on turn 1. Equip Delirium on Faros, rouse Faros for aliens to tutor G.murphy waltz and 2 other cards. Turn on red stance and use your 3 cost waltz to mob.

Step 3 - Identify what your carry needs to succeed

Crit based carries - equip crimson pulse (covenant), stats and substats dont matter, it just gives you crit after Posse.

Get any and all crit > str relics from the shop

Arachne - equip any dmg amp wheels on your support, you can also put 4 3 pc(6 is better) Stephen wolf sets on everyone. This let's loom deals more damage.

Xu - her 3 cost clears most mobs early. Specifically for her, equip any base damage increase wheels.

Tentacle comps - equip any and all tentacle damage increase wheels.

Lightless store - deep sea call

D-jewel store - dream of the sea (not really reccomended)

Standard wheel - Fin of sorrow

Covenant - returnal line (more tentacle slaps)

Deus ex machina is a nice covenant sets that gives +1 arith on first turn (every 4 for bosses), this stacks.

Step 3. Teambuilding

Have 1 vuln, 1 weakness

For stall comps, bring 2 weakness instead

Shore up any missing debuffs with orisons from the store if possible

Identify what boosts your carry damage and gameplan

Echoing wishes

When any of the following situations applies to you
- When you're specifically targeting 1 unit that you want at all cost
- When you want both a unit's wheel AND char

DO NOT PULL THIS BANNER FOR CHARACTER DUPES IF YOU ALREADY HAVE E3 WHEEL UNLESS YOU'RE SWIMMING IN PULLS. Use prototype horizon instead to dupe them up.

Kaledio banner

When all of the following situations applies to you
- When you do NOT need any arc1 units (E.g. Thais/Horla)
- When you are missing ALOT of arc2 units, check your brick units below
- When there's nothing specific you're looking to pull and just looking at expanding your roster.
- Look at the chances of getting a brick unit, and adjust your expectations accordingly. Do note that you have approximately 2x the success vs Echoing wishes because all pulls are Arc2 units

There are a total of 13 characters + 13 wheels on Kaledio banner. Below are the breakpoints. Bolded breakpoints are where I think is the max you should go (personal thoughts, not community thoughts). You may choose to stop earlier depending on how much you wish to gamble/like the unit

If you have a character that you're aiming for, you can consider saving hard pity pulls for them via Echoing Wishes and spend the rest on Kaledio. DO NOT USE ECHOING WISHES FOR DUPES. It's very inconsistent unless you wish to gamble. Save up prototype horizon for them instead.

If you're planning to AA a unit, I do not reccomend using either banners. You're too likely to get their wheels and overspend instead.

Base guidelines

  1. Lvl 40 standard units are used as far as possible
  2. Skills are lvl 3 as far as possible (Caecus rouse lvl 5)
  3. Soulforge are lvl 1, you can invest more into your units.
  4. Units used are generally without wheels. Put wheels on your units please

Take note to ALWAYS GET YOUR SOUL FORGE TO LVL 1 MINIMALLY TO UNLOCK THEIR ARC2 PASSIVE.

Main strategy: Rouse Sanga to scale tentacle damage. Use beauty mark whenever. Ideally you might want weakness but at Alert1 with Blue Ring, Sanga is able to solo shield and tank out all damage.

Blesser deals less damage for each point of shield. Just shield whenever possible.

Hello, Angbak and Rain from discord here. We have done up a summary of each of the units on the rotating banner in order for new players to have an idea on each of their roles.

Do note that it is a very summarized snippet due to the very long list of awakeners and as such there might be things that are not fully covered.

Wheel: Best crit damage wheel when dual wielding with another SSR crit rate wheel. On its own, its only really used on Daff who can scale her crit rate in exploration

A powerful arc 1 unit that got gutted by arc 2 rule set, but still sees play because of her str down and her unique ability to make enemy do double hit count, which basically double your counter damage.

Wheel: okish wheel, helps with wanda aliemus generation , not a must

Wheel: Decent on Divine Aq for singular tentacle turn 1, otherwise not very useful

Role: Aura support, weakness and vulnerable applier (at E1), all around generic support

Breakpoint: E0, E1(for weakness and vulnerable)

Team comp:

Horla can buff damage, shield, aliemus gain depending on her mood, which make her a nice fit into most teams

DPS + survivability unit + Horla + keyflare unit

E.g: Salvador Thais Horla Clementine

Wheel: Very strong wheel, but is usually not used on horla, but used on other dps such as kath/mouchette

○ Day 12: Chaos Realm Chorus Awakener "Ryker," Wheel of Destiny "Hour of Fortune."

Role: high Con, Vulnerable applier, deck tutor, sigil maker

Breakpoint: e0/e1 (crit reduces card drawn by 2)

Team comp:

A crit rate and vulnerability support with the added benefit of earning you alot of sigil. Sees play in exploration stages.

Wheel: Only see use on ryker, very niche

Usually run together with tawil for the temp str and insight synergy, also seems play with units that want to double play their cards like mouchette

Wheel: Good, keyflare wheel + free double posse (especially for straight to boss fights)

○ Day 14: Assault Awakener of Caro Realm "Chain·Helot", Wheel of Destiny "Drowning in Crimson".

Role: Bleed DPS (and scales well with all type of damage buff)

Team comp:

Powerful arc 1 dps with the niche of shield break, not as comfy to play as most of the arc 2 dps. I wouldn't say she needs thais to play, but it definitely feels alot worse without thais.

Ghelot + Thais + survivability unit + Buffer

E.g: Thais Ghelot Aigis Horla/Helot

Wheel: pretty much only used by Ghelot and Helot, decent on them, but not very universal

Team comp:

An all round support unit that can pump out keyflare, has the potential to carry at high investment. Usually seen run as the dps with hamel, or as support in vortice team

Wheel: Very good, handsize and keyflare wheel, definitely grab one copy if you can

○ Day 16: Chaos Realm Chorus Awakener "Doll: Inferno," Wheel of Destiny "Manikin of Oblivion."

Role: Poison applier, Poison trigger, Vuln/Weak support

Breakpoint: e1 (vuln/weak), e2 (Poison applier) , OE

Team comp:

Gdoll’s true potential is only unlocked at OE, before OE she might feel abit slow with alot of aliemus wastage. Can be used as generic aliemus support or poison team core.

E.g. Gdoll, Xu, Lily, Nymph

Wheel: very good aliemus wheel, mainly seems play on exalt spammer like Gdoll and thais, needs E3 to be optimal

○ Day 17: Ultra Realm Chorus Awakener "Clementine," Wheel of Destiny "Veiled Anguish."

Role: rare damage multiplier support, keyflare support, str scaler, healer

Breakpoint: E0,, E3 (more stacks)

Team comp:

Best keyflare unit if you dont consider Gmurphy, best str scaler support at high level, unique damage modifier that is multiplicative to everything else, a very powerful general keyflare unit.

DPS + Clementine + weakness and vulnerable applier + survivability

E.g: Doresain Pickman Clementine Aigis

Wheel: Very good keyflare wheel, grab one if you can

○ Day 18: Aequor Realm Warden Awakener "Corposant," Wheel of Destiny "Flamebound Navigator."

Corposant is the discard team core, she performs very well in story mode but a bit weaker in Dzone

Wheel: niche, DR main stat. Good for DR cheese teams or Mouchette

One of the best shielder with added corrosion mechanics that can buff your damage significantly, can fit in most teams

Wheel: Handsize wheel with decent effect, worth to grab a copy

○ Day 20: Caro Realm Assault Awakener "Doresain," Wheel of Destiny "Kiss of Repose."

Role: Exalt damage DPS, STR scaler, Good against multiple weak enemies

Team comp:

Doresain can smash early game, but needs pickman to support him for end game

Doresain + Pickman + keyflare support + Survivability support

Wheel: crit damage wheel with some build in crit, also provide aliemus gen for doresain, very recommended if you are playing him

○ Day 21: Chaos Realm Assault Awakener "Kathigu-Ra," Wheel of Destiny "Amber-Tinted Death."

Role: Scaling Carry, shielder

Team comp:

A very strong DPS at E3, almost unplayable before that. She usually run a tank build and scales her damage over turns while shielding all incoming damage, needs vulnerability and weakness support, crit rate support and arith suppport

E.g Kath, Horla, Ryker, G.Ramona/Clementine/Tinct

Wheel: decent on some carries, but rarely played on herself. Generally you want Kath to play tank build with will unyielding + Blade of titan/Horla wheel/Tawil wheel

○ Day 22: Caro Realm Chorus Awakener "Pickman," Wheel of Destiny "Paradoxical Realism."

Role: Str scaler, Vulnerable and Weakness applier, Exalt damage support, Temp relic creation

Breakpoint: E2, E3 (better relic, second exalt)

Team comp:

Pickman is currently one of the best str scaling support in game, with the downside of needing alot of arith to function consistently, so he is usually played with exalt based dps that doesnt need to play their cards often

Exalt dps + Pickman + survivability + keyflare

E.g: Thais Pickman Caecus Aigis

Wheel: optional wheel, pickman can function without it

○ Day 23: Ultra Realm Assault Awakener "Pollux," Wheel of Destiny "Twisted Knight Ballad."

Role: Stat reliant dps, Bleed dps, Exploration scaler

Breakpoint: E3, OE

Team comp:

One of the Top DPS at OE, wants at least E3. Downside is he has terrible scaling for most of the buffs(like str and damage amp), and is reliant on his own stats to dps

Pollux + survivability + keyflare unit + Vulnerable applier

E.g: Castor Pollux Erica Aggripa/Arachne

Wheel: Decent generic DPS wheel, not a must but good to have

○ Day 24: Aequor Realm Chorus Awakener "Murphy: Fauxborn," Wheel of Destiny "Uteri Somnia."

Team comp:

Core of the lemurian team, don't play lemurian without Gmurphy. She is also the best keyflare generator in game. Her dps play style requires either OE or her image relic.

Lemurian (G.murphy, tulu, Myriam, Goliath/Farros)

Wheel: very good. Handsize and keyflare. VERY good.

○ Day 25: Chaos Realm Assault Awakener "Mouchette," Wheel of Destiny "Doomsday Rampage."

Role: Strike DPS, Multihit DPS

Team comp:

The best DPS in the game at the moment, can function with minimum support units, and can clear the hardest contents with premium supports. however very weak to enemies that have counters and stalls against you

Team comp:

Vortice Posse is the strongest offensive posse in the game, and is a core part of her gameplay, you would want to run a bunch of keyflare in this comp to ensure consistent posse.

Vortice stall (Vortice, Murphy, G.murphy, weakness applier)

Vortice exalt burst (Thais, Pickman, G.Murphy, Vortice)

Wheel: great on her if she's an exalt Carry. Might get better value in the future with the number of >100 base exalt units

○ Day 28: Ultra Realm Chorus Awakener "Arachne," Wheel of Destiny "Eternal Weave."

Role: Damage Amp support, Command card buffer, Execute gimmick, shielder

Breakpoint: E0, E2(prepare)

Team comp:

THE damage amp support, massively buffs fixed counter and fixed poison, but mainly counter since poison has Gdoll and Xu. Her execute is strong and but is hard to solo dps, especially against high hp target

Damage amp reliant DPS + survivability unit + Arachne + keyflare unit

E.g: Arachne Wanda Caecus Winkle

Wheel: an alright wheel, only used on arachne herself and is good to have for her

Standard realm banner - Guide

Hello, Angbak from discord here. With the recent influx of new players, I figured I'll do a guide on the standard realm banner and explain the pros and cons for each realm. You can also use this as a reference for the initial reroll banner.

Do note that this is targeted at new players so I won't go indepth into the mechanics (e.g. Chaos double posse, alien generation on posse...)

Arachne speedrun (Part 2) - 7 Active days, Arc 2 Ch5 + 350 Tide

Arc 2 Chapter 5 cleared in 7 active days on a F2P account.
Also managed to get 350 points on D-tide (no A5 done sadly).

Didn't face any major issues in clearing story apart from Chapter 5 final boss. I honestly don't think it's possible to do it without spending at least 1-2 gnosis on my team. That boss kinda sucks
