What are the differences, pros&cons, or things to know? I'm supposed to select one as a part of my birth plan to give to my OB/Hospital. The office is large and rotates you through a different person every time it seems so I don't have a strong preference for any individual but I have seen mostly midwives versus doctors. At this point I don't have any high risk factors that come into play, and I would prefer a natural birth without an epidural. Just curious of other people's experiences and what I should consider with making a selection. I like the idea of knowing a doctor is prepared to do more should it come down to it but I have heard that midwives can be more receptive of your wants and needs and make it feel less like a baby factory process.
